You know, this whole us and them mentality is a bad way to look at things in my opinion. Everyone is different everyone should work to accommodate each others differences. We can't blame a single party, especially when the parties are more like lines in the sand.

Well, "too sensitive" is of course relative to whatever you consider to be a reasonable amount of sensitivity so it can be difficult to analyse exactly what you mean. The main thing in the original post that got me thinking was the comment to grow a pair (which I know you were being jocoserious abou...

I think having pets is wrong because it is basically slavery. The reality is there's about a snowball's chance in hell that I can actually do anything about pet ownership and the fallout that results. So here I am the owner of two cats and two dogs that I got off the street. They maybe slaves but a...

So that people don't think the worst when I don't interact with them (this is neighbors and relatives). It's nothing personal, just a pathological entity. Of note, I haven't told them this; my mother did (again, pointing to how I ignore people). That is a good point, I guess it can be used to make ...

I didn't read this entire thread but I am also tired of Grandin. She is not the genius in animal management she thinks she is and she is not particularly special in her ability to understand animals. I find her self righteous and hypocritical. Perhaps people think she is an animal genius because the...

This is something I do not completely understand. I read people asking when they should come out to their employer, friends or when they should tell their new girlfriend along with peoples reactions to them having it. But I do not understand why you would tell these people that you have a "disorder....

^sex can have a completely different meaning to each person, for some it's just a recreational activity. Yeah, but PUA do more than have recreational sex. They literally have drills, they practice, set objectives and attend classes. I guess I am more weirded out by the process and dedication than h...

I hate those pick up artist people. How can someones life be so inane that they devote a large amount of time to having mindless sex with random people? How can sex even keep its meaning if such behaviors are practiced? I know a friend that has looked into the PUA stuff and he showed me some hidden ...

You should ask him what his qualms with Fatal Noogie are. Present a well reasoned cogent argument in defense of your choice to use the name. Beyond that, if he really is a jerk stick it to him and don't cross out the names. People would say that doing so would be unwise but you know it still pisses ...

It's not that bad, I am glad you asked. Most of these posts end with lack of action. Your line was fine although admittedly you should have asked her earlier. You can tell her that its cool she got engaged and that you asking her out doesn't need to have a bearing on your class relationship. You don...

Well I have been to 2 psychiatrists and 1 psychologist. None of them seemed to have a special ability to understand me, much less do anything to help me, even though I attended each for more than a year. I still have faith that there are good ones out there, just have to find them.

I can relate very much to what you are saying (although I unfortunately can't give you much help), CEGEP aside this is an existential crisis. I feel like I am smarter than some but not smart enough to be worth anything, to be able to make any real contributions to the scientific fields I am interest...

I've always wanted to, at least once, to be with a woman taller than me. Being 6'4" it seems unlikely to ever happen. like mds said, it depends on your own height. I would imagine that if someone is on the shorter side they would be more willing and interested in going out with someone that is tall...

I was in my room for a while last week, refusing to leave. I finally did, things weren't automatically better but I'm feeling a little better just going outside. You certainly aren't going to get over anything staying in your room.

As Chris71 said, its good to invite them to something you are already going to. If there are other people that you know going too that is also good. That way it isn't as much of a "date." You could do a real date after that. That being said, I wouldn't be too afraid to show interest. I think the lit...
