Thanks for your response. I can't really ask the question better, as I've only a "listening" knowledge of Indian music. I'll try: What's different about classical southern Indian music, in comparison to classical Northern Indian music? I could understand that a verbal/written response is difficult-...

Carnatic music uses different versions of the same basic structures, or Ragas(Raags in Hindi, Ragam in Tamil), and has less emphasis on instrumentation and improvisation, and more on strictly organised vocals and percussion. When you listen to Carnatic music, it feels as though the music is kind of ...

I'm not sure what you mean. It's kind of a vague question. I can't say that I really like Carnatic more than film music. I think the music from Indian cinema is utter junk 80% of the time, but..it's like eating a giant bag of Doritos. Sometimes you feel as though you can't stop, it's so irresistible...

This is somewhat random, but I've just fallen in love with a particular type of carnatic raga. Carnatic Ragas are the different modes of music representing Carnatic music, the classical music of South India. Personally I prefer South Indian Classical to the ever more famous Hindustani, even though i...

I am having bizarre sleep problems too, have had them for a long time. It's been a while since I could reliably fall into a deep enough sleep. my dreams have come out strange, disjointed, erratic and highly obsessive. I don't know what your problems entail, but some things that could help are to est...

Hello Dhawal! It's funny that you mention the nickname, because..well, to be honest, around the same time that I was introduced to WP I was feeling bad about myself and there was a lot of chaos going on in my life, so I somehow decided because of that, the name was fitting as a kind of joke, I guess...

I'm not sure how to word this because I'm not really clear-headed at the moment. I seem to have a real issue with misinterpreting what label a relationship falls under. I want to make this as short as possible. I had a therapist who ended up breaking ethical code for me in different ways (taking me...

Actually, I think that homophobia is pretty widespread traditonally. Although, not every one has it.

Never read 1984. George Orwell's style is too simple. I found that out after reading Animal Farm. EVERYONE knows that 1984 is really just a thinly veiled allegory for the soviets. However I did read Fahrenheit 451 and found it to be just as perceptive and quite as in depth as I had expected it to be...

Dear D & T This is the part where I say you guys are great people, but that you just have this barrier perceived by some as arrogance and omnipotence because you are NT's and teachers. I am here to remind you that your age brings wisdom but also fallacies. I am sorry that I really put you guys t...

Yeah, to me what you're talking about sounds like Bipolar. Neverhtheless, it's a good topic. Self esteem realy does tend to fluctuate for me. Sometime I feel great other times I feel not so great. I guess that's normal, but sometimes that difference prevents me from seeing the light of day
