Yes! It is almost painful! I also get very tired when I'm cold. Like right now it days it's 74 degrees, and I have two shirts on a wool coat and I'm still cold. My nose and hands feel like ice. I've been this way for as long as I can remember.

Is anyone else really sensitive to the cold and wind?

I feel like I am constantly freezing when everyone else is normal. And if there even the slightest bit of air moving on my skin, I have to cover up.

Is this normal?

I'm just feeling extremely lost today. I haven't been diagnosed with AS yet, but I think I may have it. Last night my husband (non-AS) wrote me this long email about how he just wants me to release my feelings and let him in. He says he thinks I have spent my life adapting to everyone and that I jus...

BDTD - yeah that seems to be what the problem is. I go to work and come home and he wants us to have all this "quality" time together when I get home. I really just want to veg out by reading , watching tv, etc... I don't have the energy to go into long discussions about feelings and what not. He do...

I seem to have learned to give people what I think they want - meaning I seem to say the right things, even though the feelings I project don't match the words.

So can Aspies fake things? Am I just reciting a script I've learned?

Good question - I don't think I can share what I don't have. I can't seem to figure out what that "picture" he wants look like. I'm confused and about ready to lose it. Nothing I say or do is right. He keeps looking for us to have this open and close relationship. Right now I just want to run away. ...

I'm not sure how to handle this. My husband and I think I may have Aspergers. He says that I am cold and unwilling to share my feelings - I keep telling him that it's not that I don't want to - it's that I don't know how. I become "mute" when pressed too hard or feel anxious. I've been this way for ...

Oh yeah - one note - I took the BAP test - here are my results: 129 Aloof 115 Rigid 101 Pragmatic " You scored above the cutoff on all three scales. Clearly you are either autistic or on the broader phenotype. You probably are not very social, and when you do interact with others, you come off as st...

Ojani - thank you! And yes - I am very proud of my children :-). R83 - I've ordered that book along with Rudy's "Aspergirls". Hopefully these will help me with my journey. One question - is there anything I can change - or does my spouse have to accept the fact that I may not respond the way he wish...

I sent this email to a couple of people - no response back yet. Apparently there is no place locally to get diagnosed. I'm afraid - my marriage is in trouble. We suspect I may have aspergers, and now that we think I might have it - he keeps looking at me ALL THE TIME! I feel like such a freak. Can s...
