You can call 911 if you are seriously suicidal. The emergency room will take you and they will check you in to the hospital for at least 24 hours and do an evaluation My sister has agoraphobia. It was several years that she wouldn't step out the door of her apartment. Now she does okay because she g...

I don't understand this. if your wife wanted to visit with her friend why didn't she go by herself? This makes no sense to me. I've never wanted to take hubby with me when meeting girlfriends. Couples is different. well if he doesn't want to go to couples fine with me either way. It's no fun for me ...

I'm so sorry. The only thing you can do is love her and appreciate her. I hope you can get her to talk to a therapist. My daughter (16) has many of the same issues and it is very difficult. I can't even comprehend what she is going through in regards to the loneliness. You just have to let them know...

acckkk No Way. Well 8 or 9 was okay but 10+ was bullying and my self worth being crushed to smithereens. There were some bright spots of happy memories but not worth the hell I went through at school to go back. Bullying leaves scars for life. So many psych issues I have come from that period. 17 an...

yes I do, it's the story of my life... exactly as you describe. I get upset with myself about it a lot. It's worse because I have kids and I feel guilty abt being a bad example but still needing to teach them to keep routines and priorities straight. It's difficult to get them to do so when they don...

forget the sexual orientation for now and get your issues sorted out. it,s good you stopped having sexual relationships for a little bit. you shouldn't be in relationship when you're insecure or emotionally immature. I've been there and been paying for it for most of my life. When you get your emoti...

I would go with the ideas for self soothing but seriously consider sedation. A cross country flight is not fun even for "nt". Many people without mental disorders take one time anxiety medicine for a single event such as dentist or flights. Why cause her added distress? I don't know if she is on any...

see a Dr and talk about therapy and medication. you are probably depressed. won't make you happy but once you are out of your depression it will be easier to do or find things that will make you happy. people avoid negative people, it's a drain on their positive energy.

unfortunately people are mean even knowing about a diagnosis. My two children with asperger syndrome are often victims of bullying and ostracism. Even in families there is criticism and lack of understanding as many young users here can attest. Take care of yourself. You can do it. Don't blame other...

I have to follow this discussion. My son has had similar issues. He is in 6th grade, but has talked about a few situations since 4th grade. He is very sensitive to people misbehaving or being mistreated. He'd often get upset with his friend about misbehaving or not playing fair. His sense (or should...

I'm sorry. I have similar feelings myself. I think a lot of women do but don't say anything. I don't care for the women you describe but frankly most of my disgust in this regard is towards men. If they didn't do the things they do those women would have no one to play. Yes get help. I know it won't...

3 months for toothbrushes because the bristles get worn. I try to keep mine in the cabinet instead of on the vanity. Sometimes I'll throw them in the dishwasher to clean them. It helps to close the toilet lid before flushing. I prefer handheld openers because they're easy to clean. Same with knives ...

People often think my aspie son does. As a teenager and older, people have thought I had an accent. American but an accent from a different part of the country I lived in. I assumed because we lived in several different places because my dad was in the Navy. When I lived in England, as an adult, a c...
