Yes, maybe it is related to naivity. He is often childish and I appreciate that. I guess I mainly like that he is a mixture of supermacho and soft. I never met a man who talked so frankly about feelings but at the same time, his male personality attributes are quite strongly developped. I like his h...

I agree and disagree. I also had the impression that in some stories the females blamed too much on AS and it often came across as if the AS partner only had to realize or be persuaded how much he loved her. A bit like he is not allowed to make his own decisions because he is misguided by his AS. Bu...

Good link.

But the problem is not me not understanding, it is his lack of connection to me. He was enthusiastic until he could feel safe with me. Then he dropped me.

It is not primarily a matter of time, it is a matter how it is communicated. If my bf disappears without warning, my initial thought is: He does not love me anyomore, there is someone else etc., etc. If he explained that he needs some space for himself, it would be manageable. But just disappearing ...

It is almost scary how similar the stories of left behind NT women sound. Different cultural background, different age, different personalities but some things seem to happen like a natural law: - The sudden disappearance at the point when you think the relationship is great and there appears to be ...

I have read the book (which is more of a booklet than a real book), it is actually written by a female Aspie. As a female NT who had two past relationships with Apies I can relate to some of the things mentioned but I did not find the book very helpful.

I am in a similiar situation - it has been 4 weeks now. I cannot count the number of Emails I have written but never sent, because at the end of the day, I felt it is worthless. Can it ever be a good basis for a relationship, if someone completely quits communication in case of the slightest problem...

You are right - I would have probably hurt him without knowing. But for me it would be much easier to just think he is a mean person than coping with uncertainty. I still think he is good at heart but also from my perspective he has done the meanest things I have ever experienced. Also, it often mad...

Sad. Confused. Alone. Similar situation here, I can so much relate to what you wrote, and I really feel with you. We have been close friends for 1.5 years while he was living with another partner. I knew from the first time I met him that he was Aspie. Our relationship became more and more intense a...
