Not only that; you can be married and desperate. Trust me.
Sometimes less is more, but it can still be lonely. (Is that profound or just meaningless?) |

I'm not obsessed, but I guess I'm a fan. I'll certainly give anything he's responsible for a chance. I like Buffy and Firefly (although it took awhile to get into that one). His characters are unique; his sense of humor is subtle to slapstick, but always impeccable; and his creativity and instincts ... |

Are you in the US? If so, they would have had to have the property surveyed as part of the sale process, and the surveyors would have put stakes in the ground, probably with colored ribbons on them, at the corners of the property. Sometimes they'll tie ribbons on trees instead. If the house was just... |

I'm so old ( 58 ) that we didn't even HAVE school psychologists! I was lucky in some ways. I was smart and never caused trouble, so everybody, including the other kids, just ignored me. I didn't have any friends, but I wasn't bullied, or hardly any. Just very lonely. I know what you mean about disco... |

I'm at one extreme or the other. Either I say nothing, or I spill my guts and regret it immediately. It's like I'm not in control once I start. |

I guess I am. I was in high school when Beatlemania hit (1961-65) and joined in wholeheartedly. I attended the two concerts they gave in Chicago, and I still have the ticket stubs, as well as all their LP albums. We screamed from the time they walked on till they left; I never heard a word they sang... |

Note the victim's name. Welcome to Bush's Reich.
I hope he has a decent lawyer. The ACLU is another option. |

I went through menopause several years ago (I don't remember how many, but more than three, definitely), and I'm still getting hot flashes. They almost went away for awhile, but now they're back. I'm starting to wonder if they might be caused by something else. Pain in the ass, unless it's cold out.... |

What's wrong with "women"? 'Sup to you "boyz." Depends on what your motives are. You want a relationship with an intelligent, mature, adult human being who happens to be female, or you want something else? I was assuming the first, and since I am one, I pointed out a couple of turnoffs that might be... |

Well, for a start, you could all stop referring to grown women as "girls." Get it, boy? Then work on the rest of the condescending stereotypes and you might attract a woman with a functioning brain cell. If that's what you actually want, which isn't apparent. Sorry to interrupt the male bondi... |

In many situations, they can be either extremely useful or even vital. Without them, you tend to have a gaggle, with no one in charge and no one accountable. As long as they serve a purpose and are based on meaningful criteria (e.g., experience, knowledge, stuff like that), I have no problem with th... |

Is that a British/Canadian series? I never heard of it, for myself or my daughter.
Prof: Ha! In MY day, writing hadn't been invented yet. I'm still pretty good at memorizing and reciting epic poetry and geneological lists, though. Notch a mean stick, too. |

Hmmm. Now, as an Aspie, it's obvious that I'm not and never have been what is usually considered a "cool chick," but at least I'm a chick. I would have responded to your post, if only because it's not shallow and ordinary and shows you have a functioning mind. Also to ask what the heck the question ... |

If I am, do I get a prize? I'll check out the new age thread and see. I'm a little concerned about Fanny though. S... |

Fanny: I can relate to a lot of what you describe, although naturally my details have been different and I've managed to work around some of the obstacles sometimes. Even so, the inner universe remains the same. I think I've loved some people. I have a daughter who I KNOW I love, although I don't th... |
