My brother and I are like best friends....sorta. 8) That's really cool. In my family there's 6 kids. 1 diagnosed with Autism/profound MR 1 diagnosed AS, I'm not officially diagnosed with AS (but have been told by a few dr.'s that I'm classic AS), the rest of the kids in the family show a lot of cha...

I've taken Prozac only for my extreme irritability to certain sounds. It didn't help me at all, it only increased my irritability.

I'll drink tea if it's the only thing available, but I'd much rather have coffee.

Now that jingle is stuck in my head.

I drink coffee all day. I prefer it over pop or plain water.

I am so glad to see that I'm not the only one. I'm cold all the time. Especially in the evening. I wear 2 pairs of socks most of the time and sleep with a blanket and sleeping bag at night. My nose gets cold too.

I would have to say my biggest problem is with certain sounds. Mainly certain people's voices. I don't know what it is about the voices though. It doesn't seem to matter if it's loud or soft, high pitched or low pitched, Male or Female, or if it's a person I like or dislike. Certain voices can cause...

I have a brother diagnosed with Autism/mental retardation, another brother diagnosed with AS, I'm not diagnosed with AS yet, but dr.'s strongly feel I have it, and the other 3 kids in the family all show characteristics of AS, but haven't had any formal testing or anything. I have a nephew with ADHD...

I've never been able to say something like that out of the blue. If someone said something like "I'm losing my mind" I might be able to come up with a comeback for it, depending on who it is.

Just this morning, the phone rang and it was a wrong number. The guy was looking for a part out of my father in law's salvage yard. I told him that I didn't have anything to do with the salvage yard but I would give him the number to call. He got snippy with me and said " You have the same last name...

[quote="KimJ"]There could be a valid reason why they don't want Callista there-insurance. They may see you as an injury risk. Cats scratch and bite and their mouths can be nasty. Since they won't hire you, they see you as a possible insurance claim waiting to happen, if you got bit. Good p...

I don't know how these shelters work, but I don't understand why they can't have volunteers there. If they're interested in getting their cats adopted by good families then wouldn't it make perfect sense to have someone come in a few days a week, and just spend time with the cats? From what I've see...

Hello. Thanks everyone for the welcomes. It sure is nice to be here in this community. Sounds corny I know, but it feels good to be accepted as I am. I was suprised to see a lot of people like me in Minnesota. I was born in Ill. though and moved to MN about 16 years ago. I was hoping to start a new ...

I can't stand phones. I have caller ID now so it helps a little to let me know who's bothering me with their call, but unfortunately, it doesn't always say who's calling. I don't like to use the phone unless I absolutely have to.

More irritating ,however,is my work environment.About 80% of my co-workers are either lazy,self-absorbed or out right stupid. It's the "little" things that really get me upset, because it's been 4 years of repeated behaviors.....No matter how nice I ask and explain why something needs to be done a ce...

The times I can't handle stress very well are when my routine has been interrupted and when I hear certain noises. I don't know how to cope because I can't seem to think straight in those conditions. Today being one of them. I was getting ready for a meeting and someone stopped by my house before I ...
