| My brother was diagnosed when he was around 8 years old. It could have been younger, I'm not 100% sure. My parents did not tell anyone. They didn't tell him, and they didn't tell me or my other siblings. He is now almost 30, and was only just told very recently. I don't think it is fair not to tell ... |

| Having a brother who was never told (he was only just told at age 28, even though his diagnosis was at 8 years old) I think it is so important to share it with your kid as soon as possible. | I definitely believe in Dad's intuition. Of course you can't know for sure (and nor can anyone else) if your daughter is on the Autism Spectrum unless she is tested by a professional. | Thanks, yes I agree. I do think he has a right to know, but I can't imagine how to deliver the news.... ? I suppose kindly, compassionately, and hopefully with an arsenal of information to share with him too. |
