Without the desire (which was the only thing working in his favor) to do the work, I can easily imagine that he may end up needing an aide in order to get anything done and to keep him from driving the rest of the class nuts.. My son has always hated the schoolwork, from Day 1. Maybe 1 in 100 works...

I know I am not the only one here who is dealing with kids' food issues and sensitivities. I can especially understand some of my son's difficulties because I have my own strange food issues I've only just come to recognize are probably due to my own AS traits. Most of my issues have to do with mak...

You don't sound upset over it.I'm laid back too but this can't be what you want for him.Money is just money. He's got to look over his shoulder and keep his "success" a secret. This is the easy way out.I wouldn't tolerate it.I'm not against people smoking it at all but dealing it-no way.It isn't a car...

I could have written this about our first week! There has been no communication,no replies to my emails, no class schedule nothing.I have to rely on my son to give me one word answers here and there? The school has a " let us do our job attitude" yet advertises how much they value parents as partner...

I go through this daily. The obsessive, often illogical, repetitive questions. It is definately an anxiety that he's trying to satisfy but is unable to.It can drive me crazy even when I try so hard to be calm and patient. He is often looking for me to repeat his scripted answer over and over yet it is w...

My son starts this year and I'm much more nervous than he is.He is so behind socially but he has an IEP in place.I hope everything goes ok.I'll be silently watching EVERYTHING I can. This is a big change for all our kids.Years of preschool have really helped my son but this is so different.
