This is going to sound weird (well, so far everyone I've spoken to about it has told me it's weird), but I get really uncomfortable with seeing my image in mirrors or photos (I run away very quickly from video cameras so that's not an issue). I know where I am. But when I've got a mirror in front of... |

I get mild seizures. I'm finally getting them investigated by a neurologist after quite a few years of them interrupting things. The delay is simply that I thought it was one of the things that just came packaged with the rest and didn't bother to bring it up. I find it difficult to talk to medical ... |

I seem to have ended up Discordian. |

This one might be partly due to additional bipolar fruitloopiness, but I like the Beatles' 'A Day in the Life'. The large orchestral crescendo is exactly how I feel when I'm freaking out. Also, you have to love this verse: I read the news today oh boy Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire And... |

I'm not sure if I can post this here, or what responses I will get, but I need to get it out into words. I don't have a very active social life (well, that's hardly going to be a surprise). In fact, most of my friends tend to be spread out over a wide area of the country and in other countries, beca... |

The theremin is a joy to play. Regrettably I no longer have access to one, but once you're confident with it, you almost feel the shape of the note under your hand. You're going to need a knack for visualisation and a good body memory to get past the weird-B-movie-sound-effects level. The ondes mart... |

The episode is called "Caged", for anyone thinking of going to look for it (and it's from series / season 2). I found it a bit uncomfortable watching aspects of my personality in the character of Aaron, but it's a good episode. Grissom appears to actually know something about HFA, and is quick to co... |

The most common savant skills, aside from random ones like facial recognition, are: 1. calendar calculations 2. mathematics and "human calculators" 3. music 4. art 5. foreign language acquisition (large memory component to this one usually) 6. writing 7. spatial reasoning 8. ***memory*** <-- this i... |

I have bipolar type I and AS, both diagnosed. It is a ghastly combination. I am sorry, but I feel uncomfortable about some of the things that have happened while on a bad mood extreme or mixed state (I'm one of the unfortunates who generally gets dysphoria or mixed state rather than euphoria on the ... |

Tapping my feet and fingers is a big one for me - often in complex rhythmical patterns (curse you, musical training!), also fluttering my index and middle fingers in a sort of 'mini-flap'. When I'm very distressed, I do rock back and forth. I don't know why I do this because it makes me feel sick (t... |

According to my husband, yes. (He describes me as a 'geek trophy wife' because my geek level far exceeds his, making him the envy of his fellows. Especially what with the Green Lantern wedding bands.) I know I'm not conventionally attractive, but then most of the people I know don't really care abo... |

The result of an IQ test gives the measurement of your ability to do that particular IQ test. Nothing else. It's not a good indicator of intelligence. |

I get stressed when asked to perform to a large audience, so I opted out of a musical career. But I do have a freaky knack of picking up instruments very quickly; as in 'leave me alone with one and a tutor book for an afternoon and I'll at least reach junior orchestra standard'. I specialise in wood... |

I'm lucky in that family/friends/workmates have just accepted that I can sense things they can't and acted accordingly. But I HATE it when any light bulbs are getting to the end of their life, as the sound and flicker becomes painful. The landlord at my old flat recognised this and used to come roun... |
