Here's another bit, if you'd like. Evan was awake, aware: That jostling of the RV. That sand-papering sound of the tires on the road. That rush-whistle of the wind. The sheeeroooom! Sheeeroooom! of cars passing. That girl who dreamt softly on his shoulder, breath tickling his arm. All of it whooshed...

Thanks! It's part of a 10,000 word manuscript at the moment. I want to publish it, but I'm only fifteen. So there are complications. Thanks so much for reviewing!

I'm writing a story, largely based on my experiences. I'd really like some feedback. Here's an excerpt. Brooke is my main girl character, a Jewish girl. Evan is my male main character, obsessed with outer space. They're talking to one another after Brooke has just had a rant about her feelings. Evan...

I was wondering about the different reactions parents have concerning their children's diagnoses on the autism spectrum. Did anyone's parents react badly? I'm going to tell my mom, but I'm afraid. Advice and stories?

You certainly do poetic justice to your victory! But I'm afraid I don't understand. What souls, what secrets?

Deciphered, friend. And what would Plato say to your philosophy? Perhaps he'd say something gnomic, perhaps something dealing with "other halves." In his Symposium , we are told of the “ladder of love,” by which the lover can ascend to direct cognitive contact with (usually compared to a kind of vis...

Thank you. I appreciate the compliment, but I really can't help but be honest. It's just something I am, and I have the hardest time lying.

Is that a particularly good thing? Or a bad thing?

Eh, I really do appreciate how clever you've made me out to be, with the "male" thing. But, I really just accidentally clicked the wrong one! Ha, ha!

Yep, sounds a bit Aspie. Though, it took me a few years and many incorrect diagnoses to figure out that I had Asperger's. Especially the part about "knowing what you want to do" but not knowing how to use social rules and things like that. Welcome to wrongplanet!

I'm not an adult yet, but I'd still love to be your friend! How old is your oldest with suspected Asperger's?
