You should definitely ask for letters from classes you did your best in, but also send a resume and reasons for your interest both in the recommendation and in the topic itself.

When I was in my first year, I had an adviser based on the freshman seminar I took. I didn't speak in class for the most part. I loved the subject and got significantly better at writing about it but, when it came to speaking to the teacher in a non-classroom setting, I absolutely had no idea how to...

Has anyone had an experience where they thought that they were in love with someone only to find that that person changes one thing about themselves and you no longer feel anything? If so, what was it that attracted you to them? It makes me think that I must be unfeeling that I could be so fickle in...

It used to be a problem. I thought that it was weird for people to look me in the eyes and that therefore, it must be rude to do so to others. I love pokemon. I can spend half a day trying to level up my pokemon. I'm not ashamed that I still like even though I'm in college. Yes, the tv shows are much to repetitive and any real development in characters and plot ended around the second season's end, but still, the franchise is beautiful. Po...

Would you count a robot movie under the designation of "creature"? They are not considered human but are considered in a similar enough frame that they wouldn't be thought of really as inanimate or animals. There's also the instinctive human fear of them. Anyway, I like Bicentennial Man.

Has anyone else found that they are less prone to "stimming" than they were in adolescence? I used to hand flap regularly but since about junior year of high school I pretty much completely stopped. Is that strange? Is it just something that happens as you get older?
