Hey guys, I'm planning on installing two physical servers running through a Dell NSA 220 Sonicwall. My employer has put me in charge of the domain controller setup. He wants to know if there are any advantages to making Hyper-V the DC? Through my own research, the cumulative answer seems to be a no.... |

I've been working in my current position for about 6 months. My boss is always very appreciative of my work, usually offering high praises on a daily basis. I'm thinking of asking for a raise, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it. Anyone have any advice by chance? |

I am also in IT It is still a high demand career, but I have noticed a lot of jobs want a B.S. in computer science these days. Sometimes experience can override the B.S. though. |

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'm going to take your advice and cut him off. If not for safety issues alone, also to show that I will NOT support him while he has his problem. I really hate to do that to him, but I cannot get sucked into the madness. Unfortunately, the person I once knew isn't... |

I have been friends with this person for over 10 years. We have always had a lot in common (love for technology, music, films, and video games) but it seems like he is losing himself. He is completely different now from who I knew a year ago. About a year ago, my friend decided to move south to Los ... |

Over the last few days, I haven't been enjoying my job as much as I did the first few days, mostly because the awe of being paid to push buttons and talk to random people is starting to wear off. I'm already starting to think of other places where I could work and make more money and have a bit mor... |

I worked as a janitor once. It was especially cool because my brother worked with me and so did my friend. What I liked about the job is that it was very structured and predictable. Besides receiving orders from my boss, the job was completely independent. We cleaned offices and we usually worked at... |

It's not necessarily soft skills, but being able to sell yourself and influence an interviewer is something I struggle with. Also, constant eye contact is super hard for me. I usually focus too much on eye contact and verbal cues and end up botching up my answer to the question being asked. This mak... |

I recently landed an interview with a tech company I really want to work for. I felt it went well, but I'm always the type to over analyze things, so I still had doubts about my consideration for the position. The following week I received a call from HR inviting me in for a second interview. I was ... |

I know exactly how you feel! Initially the job search and interview process is extremely taxing. Once you actually land something, a whole other plethora of anxiety surfaces (especially if you have been unemployed for a while or have never worked full time). In my case, I suffer from insomnia so my ... |

Because women are much more emotional, and tend to make decisions based on what they are feeling rather than logic. |

Yes, it does, and so does writing. There are, strangely enough, days when it's easier for me to explain something to someone in person than it is to write it out. Werds r hard. I actually find it easier to explain things through writing. I have had times where what I said or did was heavily ostraci... |
