i think it might have something to do with reactivations of acient (neanderthal or other) genes wich make you react in a fight or flight kind of way, with a lot of traits in autism that would have been verry usefull in hunter gatherer tribes. these genes reactivate if the right parents (or lineages)...

the testosteron bit is indeed partly true but then again people with higher neanderthal dna percentage might get more female ofspring with higher testosteron levels, in my family high testosteron levels are present in most females and most females do not fit the gender typing of "normal society" but...
