Why would a person have faith in a God? This is not meant to be an insulting question, I really want to understand. Every belief I have is the result of observation and experimentation. For example, I "believe" the sun will come down at the end of the day because I have observed it come down at the ...

No I don't hate people. If I did then having social difficulties wouldn't be as upsetting as it is. Obviously I want them to accept me, and if they did I'm sure I would really like them. Most of the time I choose to be alone, not because I hate people but because I need a break from stimulation. I g...

I'm an atheist, and while I don't have a problem with any Christian in particular, I often get offended by their stances on issues and I find they are usually very ill-informed when it comes to atheism vs. theism. What is there to talk about? You will have to start the ball rolling. Thank you very m...

I think that the main reason people have crushes on celebrities is that they're a safe way to deal with crushes, because you know there is pretty much no hope that you'll actually be able to have a relationship with them. Whereas if you have them on one of your friends, then you have to deal with a...

Okay, katwithhat, I'll do my best to explain how I see it. When people say something doesn't "feel right", they usually have a logical reason for feeling that way that they are just unable to articulate. Perhaps you like the McDonalds that is farther because they get the orders right more often, or ...

If anything, smoking weed exacerbates my social inhibitions, thereby exacerbating the side effects of my Aspergers. I'm the opposite. I find it usefully inhibits my otherwise problematic lack of social inhibitions. Cannabis doesn't work for everyone on the spectrum but it's useful to some :) That's...

I can't say as an absolute fact you're wrong, but...you're wrong. I consume lots of cannibas, and I have Aspergers up the Ass... (That phrase feels weird when you use it on Aspergers) If anything, smoking weed exacerbates my social inhibitions, thereby exacerbating the side effects of my Aspergers.

Bars Why the hell do people enjoy going to bars? It's loud and smelly, and the bartender is always an as*hole, yet expects you to tip a $5 dollar beer that took him 2 seconds to pour after talking to the hotties for 20 minutes. I could continue, and I will. The music is generic and lame, the "ambian...

Do any of you feel that holding down a job as an Aspie is difficult? I ask because I am in a difficult place in my life where I am not working and feel insecure with my ongoing education. (I'm 24, by the way, and a 1st year in law school) I've never worked at the same place for over a year. The plac...

People who got to know me or were exposed to me regularly knew I was intelligent. Before Jr. High, I was actually considered something of a prodigy. When I became a teenager, my social limitations became more apparant and things started to change. I began keeping to myself, neglecting my studies and...
