A couple years ago I moved to Colorado, which I have just discovered has caucuses instead of primaries. I've also just learned what a caucus is and it has me kind of peeved. Instead of spending a few seconds filling in a bubble next to my candidate's name and going on my way, apparently I get to spe...

This guy sounds dangerous. Do you have anyone you trust that you can talk to and will help you? To me it sounds like you should get a restraining order against him, but I do not know the process for getting that. If I were you I would not go to his place, but if you think he will track you down for ...

There are definitely other people who feel that way, I encourage you to look up the label biromantic.

I'm sorry you got such bad advice. If that were true, I'd worry about it, but from ETS hand out: "In rare instances, if an accommodation significantly alters what is tested (for example, if an entire test section must be omitted), a statement may be included with the score report indicating tha...

When I was diagnosed three years ago the psychiatrist suggested that if I ever retook the GRE that I should ask for extended time. It is kind of late in the year to take the GRE, especially since I want to ask for accomodation, but I'm still not 100% sure I am going to apply for a PhD because I am s...

Well, he is determined to completely ignore me being gay and pretend it isn't true. Which means that for now everything is pretty normal because I don't have a girlfriend. When I do have a steady girlfriend that I want to introduce to my parents, I have no idea what will happen. My mom is very suppo...

Hi, does anyone here have any experience of coming out, or of telling friends and acquaintances you are bi or gay. Any advice or insight would be appreciated, thanks in advance. Yes. You need to accept that there is no smooth or easy way to do this. It is inherently a fairly awkward experience beca...

I guess without the context it makes it seem more phobic. Being bi I get the 'just a phase' argument coming at me from every direction and I get really, really tired of it. Girlfriend vs partner - I used partner because that is what the title of the book is, but I do consider partner a higher level ...

Thanks Beau! I've been feeling a bit better the last couple of days (thanks to the weekend). Waking up earlier would probably just make me feel worse because I'm a major night owl (In fact I probably have delayed sleep-phase syndrome, which means that my body does not release melatonin at the correc...

I'm having a lot of anxiety right now because of a bunch of different circumstances in my life. I'm working a lot of hours (paid and unpaid work that I need to do to finish my thesis). I'm worried about money because I feel like I am bleeding money lately and am trying to save up to pay tuition in t...

Thanks for posting this, it is good to know these sorts of things before buying! I have not read this one yet (have not yet been successful in finding a girlfriend, much less a partner), but I have read Simones other book, and that one completely ignores the existence of queer aspergirls, so it does...

Feeling kinda bummed now. I was really excited about the supreme court's decision today and I wanted to go celebrate. I don't have any friends around, but figured maybe I could just go to the local pride house's party and have fun, but I should have known better. Everyone was just sitting around ta...

Your friend was incorrect, intersex is not correct way to refer to your friend. It is possible your roomate is intersex, but unless your roomate tells you he is, you cannot really know, you are not a doctor, and it is none of your business. See my definition of intersex above. If your roomate wishes...

Agree with what thatrobrageous said. Also, I am not sure how you are defining intersex, but it doesn't sound like you are using it correctly. A person who is intersex has reproductive organs that do not fit the typical definition of male or female.

Hi, I am by no means an expert on transgender issues, and I know there are others on this forum who can probably give you more information, but I just wanted to give you a quick reply that it is possible for someone to be two genders and to switch between them. I believe that this is sometimes calle...
