Yeah I don't know. Plenty of women murder their children. Plenty of clique-y girls who pick on other girls. Cattiness and gossip, two behaviors associated with women, are very unemphatic.

Yeah, I agree that the whole extreme male brain thing is nonsense. I think that the main reason it is so popular is that gives a scientific gloss to what people already believe about gender. The best resource I've found on why the whole thing is bunk is this essay . There's also an interesting Natu...

There are other guys like Dude But those guys might not split like Dude does. Not all guys are those idiot types who bark orders. Yeah see his reactions to everything aren't normal. Something's up there. The right one will come along I guess. There is enough to focus on in my life. For god's sake I...

I hope you find a different "dude" in the meantime. God, I've been through this so many times with him. I've definitely gone out with other guys. I read a lot about how to find the right one. I focus on myself, I talk to other guys, I try to fill my social calendar. Then...he somehow retu...

I read recently that autism, is an extreme male brain. I am fascinated by this idea because I am an NT and I have had a lot of experience with men who exhibit an apparent lack of empathy, who are socially awkward, become defensive in the face of every single difficult conversation, need a lot of spa...

Most people, NT or not, do not like being shown they are wrong. It takes a lot of humility to accept and admit being wrong, especially if it is about something the person has vehemently held to for a long time. Humility is against human nature, for the most part. I agree with this. Many religions a...

This sounds more like a relationship issue than an ASD-specific one, because this type of thing can happen in any unhealthy relationship. Key word, unhealthy. Yes at first I just thought he was an unhealthy person. But the fact he has returned a million times with the same results...gives me a huge...

Yes he just told me that I was obsessed with him and supposedly blocked me. It doesn't make sense. Things ended last week. I was moving on. He texted me for a ride this morning. Then we had all this BS today. I told him if he doesn't care about me, he needs to leave me alone, and he could have texte...

I am an NT and I am involved with what seems to be the third man with AS. Now that I understand autism a lot better, I believe that my father has AS, and I gravitate toward men who have AS. But the ones in my life...have not been officially diagnosed. The first two, were terribly mean. I've been don...

Valentinewiggin---I have a question related to the comment you made about the movie... He has complained to me that I change plans. To me it's minor, for example I decide I don't want to go get ice cream after all, or go jogging, or something like that, which is unrelated to him and doesn't effect h...

[/quote] Well, first, people who'd interrupt a movie we're watching together, let alone leaving for good int he middle of it would leave me profoundly-upset. But what's worrisome to me is your word choice "He then proceeds to tell me that he was JUSTIFIED in being mad at me..." Not "He tells me how ...

Find some time when you're both calm, talk to him about it. Approach it as a problem that you can solve together, rather than something about him that you want to fix or change. (And mean it. You like your BF the way he is, Asperger's included, right? So don't try to change him.) . . . I like this....

Sorry I didn't see that there was a love forum...thank you for all of your advice. To answer your question about the anger...it's almost daily, can be short, and if I respond angrily to him, things will spin out of control and we'll be fighting for hours. So much resentment for this behavior builds ...

I have a boyfriend of 10 months that is sure he has asperger's. He has not received a formal diagnosis but he says the more he learns about it asperger's, the more he thinks he has it, like it's an 'autobiography.' From what I know about it, that seems right. I need advice about how to deal with his...
