Wow, I'm surprised to see how few extroverts there are in the poll, especially considering that extroverts outnumber introverts by a percentage ratio of about 75:25.

...Really? This is an autism forum. Autism is basically extreme and crippling introversion.

I live in a very big, busy city. I hate other people and noise, and I take alleyways/side street routes everywhere I go. Yet still I love the city. I'm weird... Anyways, I feel the same way. Too much time in a busy place makes me shut down. It exhausts me. I have to go home and lie down and just sta...

I'm really fascinated by MBTI. I went through a phase of reading about it obsessively. I think it accurately describes a lot about how a person will interact with others and process/express their thoughts and feelings, while not completely defining who they are. After reading about it so much I can ...

I tend to under-explain, probably. I actually have a great distaste for verbosity so I try to be as concise as possible.

Noise from neighbours gives me such irrational volumes of anxiety, it's nuts. I live on the top floor of a townhouse. I only hear the occasional run up the stairs from either side, which doesn't bug me cuz it's a noise my brain has been conditioned for over many years of having a bedroom right by a ...

They complain that I don't seem to be paying attention when they talk to me. If this isn't too off topic, may I ask whether you know if you're paying attention to them or not? My sister gets a blank expression on her face sometimes or looks like she's off in her head, and I know for a fact that she...

I'm just wondering if this is a typical aspie trait. My whole life people have said I'm "spacey." They complain that I don't seem to be paying attention when they talk to me. I was actually tested for deafness in elementary school because teachers would ask me questions and I would just stare into s...

Well, I think a high IQ means you'd be pretty good at anything involving problem solving and analysis. I personally used my IQ related skills to study math and become a computer programmer.

I find the casual exchange of "How are you?"s to be a particularly irritating aspect of small talk. I always walk away from one feeling uncomfortable and like I screwed it up. It's annoying because 99% of the time when a person asks you that, they don't actually care how you're feeling or how your w...
