The Omeprazole is a life saver imo. I could not go without it for sure. My heartburn and GERD is so bad, I would only be able to eat mashed up food otherwise. With this drug, I live a normal life at least in regards to that. My GI doctor said something important that I remembered, "Constipation can... |

I wish you luck with tryptophan/melatonin. I'll give it a try myself. But, remember to research what you take to be sure it is more than a placebo. MrBryce that concoction sounds dangerous in the long run? I have to take Omeprazole daily, for GERD, due to a hiatal hernia. Because of my asthma I also... |

I have had good results with Tylenol and Alka-seltzer before bed. If you google search "6 surprising sleep wreckers", you will find a article on WebMD, that I think is pretty good. #3, GERD was keeping me awake. Apparently, even mild pain can keep one awake, even if one doesn't know it. What you mig... |

"It's really hard to wake up" sounds very familiar to me. Until two months ago, I would regularly go to bed wired and wake up exhausted after 8+ hours of sleep. I found an article called “6 Surprising Sleep Wreckers” on WebMD dot com with this quote in it "People with chronic pain often wake up feel... |

What do you want so badly that you will put yourself through all this to get it? It sounds to me that the OP wants badly to feel better without forming an independence upon drugs. I agree. Allow me to rephrase my point. If the OP is working at a demanding job such as one that requires 60+ hours per... |

Personally, I have had success with a combination of two strategies intended to alleviate pain. The first strategy is reduce heart-burn causing factors like avoid tomatoes, onion, or citrus, sleep on an incline, take Prilosec OTC, and take Tums at night. Generally, I try to make sure my stomach is h... |
