The girl held my hand(palm) for a long time nearly about an hour(with gaps in between). I liked it as well. But, I did not know how to react and just let it be. In other words I froze. Alright, so it's basically a question of social maturity. Whereas others would naturally know what to do, and the ...

I think you need to be more specific and elaborate. What happened that made you freeze and decide you were neglecting your emotions?

I think stimming often takes on a broad definition to include any little thing a person may or may not do every so often. In that sense, everyone could theoretically stim. But specific stimming is usually a noticeable, repetitive, and specific action. I don't think everyone with AS stims. It's also ...

Tenderfoot, I have a question:

Have you been diagnosed with Asperger's, or are you just deciding you have it? I'm not saying you don't. My question is, if you first heard about Asperger's 10 years ago, why is it that you now feel you must have it? Did something happen recently?

One thing I really detest is conspiracy theories. And that is followed very closely by conspiracy theorists. That's how THEY want you to feel. Dismiss anyone with such ideas as automatically loony, delusional, self-righteous, or what have you. Don't believe everything you hear, but don't be so quic...

I'm beyond confused, and a little hurt that they didn't explain themselves. Since you're only 18, I'll let you in on a secret: They NEVER explain themselves. It's a staple of what it means to be NT, they're unwilling to elaborate. To them it should be self-evident, to them, explanation goes against...

I wonder if he had any other psychiatric illness? Why would he blame his dad?Maybe some disorder that would make him paranoid. His father probably also had Asperger's, but was more socially successful as he managed to marry/procreate. For the son, the stress of having AS in a world with NTs, coupled...

I've never tried contact lenses, but my impression is that they are really more trouble than glasses. The reason to use them is so as to not be seen wearing glasses. I have contacts, but I generally wear my glasses. A month's supply of contact lenses could last me a year. While I generally agree th...

Yes, it's quite common.

If people misunderstand, and they're emotionally offended, no clarification in the world will change their minds.

I've had this experience with certain individuals on this site, which makes me question the sincerity of their Aspergic minds.

They asked the Facebook guy that same question, in regards to Myspace meeting people's needed. I commend him for taking a stab at creating an alternative to this one. But what defines mild Asperger's, as opposed to severe Asperger's, as opposed to moving further down the spectrum beyond Asperger's?

It's funny, because while I understand what you're saying, this sounds kind of oxymoronic. "Apsiness" and "unspoken knowing" in the same sentence.

Cool story bro.

It's a question, not a story. What is it with you damned NTs and that pretentious, dismissive phrase?

I don't know where you live, but the people diagnosing you will probably want to see your previous medical history, including a previous diagnosis. So in that sense, no, you can't go back to "scratch." You'll probably have to specify that you're seeking re diagnosis, either to corroborate or disprov...
