I personally love having roommates. Then again I'm one of those really social aspies and I don't have specific issues with certain decorating. I in fact like having only one half of a room to decorate and I physically and psychologically can't spill over to the other side. It would make my organizat...

Being that you are asking this question I'm guessing you are not signed up to get accommodations from disability services or your professor would already know. I know not everyone is comfortable with it but I'm a strong believer in accommodations and letting my professors know right away. Unfortunat...

It always fascinates me to hear about aspies who are social. It seems like a contradiction given our diagnosis. I know we all have different deficits, but I always seem to hear that our social deficit is the most common. Qualitative impairments in social interaction is the first criteria in the DSM...

Thank you for all your great suggestions everyone. For those of you that seemed concerned about if law enforcement and stuff had to get involved, I really dream that I never have a meltdown in public bad enough where this would happen. I've only had one meltdown in a public place once in my life and...

I have Asperger's and I'm high functioning. I've been thinking about my future lately. Let me be more clear, my future as a person on the spectrum living independently and on my own. I can't wait till I am completely independent with no dependence on my parents what so ever. However, although high f...

Thanks for the good advice. I even think this is crazy and don't fully understand why I want to do it. I don't want to be in debt for the rest of my life and that's why I just needed to bounce this off of other people and get good feedback to set me straight. I thought who better to ask than other m...

I graduated from Penn State with a bachelors degree in agricultural science and a minor in wildlife and fisheries science. I graduated in May 2012. I've been applying to grad schools and even went to one where I became depressed to the point I actually dropped out. I know after undergrad it is smart...

I was diagnosed with Asperger's spring 2012. I referred myself for assessment at college because I had been keeping track of behaviors associated with autism since I was 15. One of the behaviors I saw in myself was my intense obsessions with characters from my favorite tv shows. Most notably Sara fr...
