One of the MOST uncomfortable situations by far... Just walk away and pretend that was for someone else whom you didn't notice or maybe you were just too busy listening to headphones to even pay attention. |

Thx for welcoming me. I guess I should've introduced myself first, but I was trying to go unnoticed. Maybe that's inappropriate...I thought so and reconsidered the whole intro thing. I always wondered how people could write others off so quickly. I've always wanted to be social and tried all through... |

Wow...1401b said it pretty well. And I thought it was quite humorous, but seriously ~ the heavy blanket great idea. Make it like a picnic blanket and use it for support if she needs it. The key is so be supportive and encouraging no matter what. And the part about her being right, take it...and abou... |

I see...I am having those sane exact issues to a lightly lesser degree with my son, who is 14. I'm pretty sure he's been more sensitive to things bc of the whole hormone/puberty thing. I actually took him to the dentist yesterday and had the Denise and hygienist and orthodontist talk to him about hi... |

I commented on the day after I registered and someone a so called veteran said to watch out for me. I still don't know what that means, so I thought I'd better introduce myself. |

Hello,
Don't worry...it will all work out. It doesn't really matter does it? Unless you need services of some sort. What is your mom upset about? Are you working or going to school? Just wondering if she's just trying to help you get services or just wants to satisfy a compulsive need to know. |

Oh gee, I feel moved by your concerns. My very good friend was in a very similar situation and my husband and I have contemplated this as well. I would be extremely concerned about the safety of your other children. Imo, your daughter needs to get a reality check and feel what it's like to get strip... |

Absolutely, social skills can be learned. I think some on the spectrum want to make friends, ie are inclined to want meaningful relationships, but often don't know how to initiate them or act inappropriately when presented with the opportunity. This used to make me not want to interact with people, ... |

Absolutely... It'd pob be better to go to the same one, and I think it would only take another visit if the doc remembers you. If not he may need to do addyl testing but even them I don't expect that it'd take more than a one or two more visits. Then they would just mail you the records if you asked. |

Disconnect from your situation for the time being if you can. Do this by going out into nature if possible. In doing so you may find something you were not aware of. Perhaps in the near silence and peace your answers will come to you instead of you seeking them out. Do this if you can or feel it mi... |

I don't mean to lie... Getting back to nature and seeing the world is bigger than you are may help. Don't listen to all of the negativity. Love yourself and others will follow. |
