I guess that must make me a girl, then. Why is it that every time someone talks about the difference between typical aspergergian males and females, I always fall firmly into the female category? I don't care for the implications. Which are? Oh, just that I already think I'm too feminine for my own...

The only thing that seems to make me more NTish as far as social interaction goes is cocaine. It makes the crash all the more depressing, like you're being dragged back into your shell kicking and screaming. I've only done it once in earnest, but it was quite an experience. As far as hallucinogens, ...

I drive an ambulance. And for someone who only likes dealing with one or two people at a time, it's a wonderful job.

I always thought that saying hi was a way of getting a person's attention, and so you can see their face and try to figure out the best way of phrasing the thing you're about to say, but if a conversation doesn't follow, I really don't like it. A second of eye contact and a smilish twitch are suffic...

Although male, I'm told that I sound like a gay man with a cold. My dad never talked much, and I'm pretty sure he has a touch of AS too, so I learned my speech and mannerisms from my mom, and only changed the ones that caused me to be a target in school. Now everyone thinks I'm gay. I am not, and co...

Right now I bench test modems at the cable company. I'm alone, so any communication is voluntary, and the people I work with are frequently interesting to listen to. They also don't seem to have any particular problem with hearing me muttering Chinese from behind my little area barricaded by stacks ...

All NTs (I think) and most of them were good, but they all ended badly for me. It took me a long time to realize that I attached importance to things they didn't and vice versa. Then again, I haven't had a serious relationship since finding out about my Asperger's, but now that I do, I'll see if ano...

Or how about having sex whilst driving and knowing other drivers are watching and I telling my girfriend not to worry about other eyes that they are not interested but knowing they are and enjoying them watching us. Can you explain the mechanics of this? I can handle the road head thing if I'm on a...

Maybe it isn't her fault, but that doesn't mean you have to deal with it. I'd stop talking to her.

I'd ask him if he wouldn't rather have some of my rum with my friends. If not, sure. I'd follow him in my car though. Sometimes even the coolest people you meet have real jackasses for friends, and it's good to keep 'leaving' as a convenient option.
