Thank you so much for taking the time to think about my situation. Your kindness was needed so badly and was so gratefully received. I am still recovering from the upset of yesterday, it will take a while but I do feel better already. The weirdness next door knows no bounds. When the guy said it was...

I feel deeply for you & understand what you are saying. I can relate to much of what you are going through and it brought tears to my eyes. I wouldn't wish such pain on my worst enemy. Please don't go to the bridge if what you are planning is to jump. I don't want you to suffer but I truly belie...

I am 44 and have Aspergers. In a lot of ways I am lucky. In other ways not so. Every interest or hobby I've ever had has been too expensive or impractical for some reason. One thing I've always loved is chickens (chooks to me as I am Australian). Since as far back as I can remember I just love sitti...

It is heartbreaking to loose a special interest. Trying to share your grief with NT's is counterproductive. It happened to me. Very different to your circumstances but I lost the only thing that gave my life meaning from the age of 3 to 16 years. I replaces a relatively healthy special interest with...

Yep, I prefer toy boys! I have never been with a guy more than 5 years younger than me though. It was a bit scandalous in my teens but as I got older not such a big deal. My husband is 4 years younger than me and I was 29 when we were married in 1999. Having an AS diagnosis now and looking back to t...

I found my first grey hair about 5 years ago. Just the other week I was out with my husband, I was sitting and he was standing beside me. He knows I can be very uncomfortable with all kinds of things he can't understand and is very discrete about saying anything in public but I noticed him looking d...

As far as monologue topics usually science based stuff (biology/chemistry orientated), autism related stuff, health/physiology related stuff (human, animal or plant), or anything that is of interest to me at the time. At the moment it might be the local council and their ineptitude. Actually, there ...

Yeah, more than 10 by the poll criteria... I don't care to recall them to put an exact number on it... probably less than 20. Before my husband there were 3 that I truly loved. Most likely my "love" was too intense. Although intoxicating at first, it probably scared them off in the end. I didn't rea...

Being a woman in human society means that men don't have to take me seriously and get to make jokes at my expense. Jokes about hormones, body shape/size, hair colour, IQ etc etc. Not all men... but I find gender jokes against women to be particularly offensive. I know I am extra sensitive about this...

When I was about 8 or 9 I took ballet lessons, by choice, for about 6 weeks before refusing to return. Although I don't remember saying it, my mother still laughs when she recalls me telling her: "I wanted to learn how to dance, not have that b!tch (ie teacher) yell at me". I still have a low tolera...
