I'm curiuos to know if any of you use self-deprecating humor as a social buffer. It seems to work well enough for me. When I'm wearing a lil' thin I just make a joke about how i'm obnoxious, a know it all, socially awkward, etc. Then the person just laughs acts like "oh he's actually very witty and ...

There's no grounds for that assumption.

- ‘You think too much.’ ... (or conversely…) - ‘Boy you sure over-analyzed that.’ ... (but, you didn’t notice that I did that in approx. 2.61 seconds, so you’re implying I’m obsessive?) . I forgot about these. I find these things very irritated when said. I'll analyze an event for 2 seconds or thin...

No specific lines, but as I gather we're all pointing out humoring and condesending comments really irritate us. I just hate that. Like If a person says they don't give a crap. Okay, that's fine. Though when they put on a poorly acted attempt of niceness as if you're a lil' kid playing grown up, as ...

Well does she know you have Asperger's? Usually if someone thanks I'm being a jerk or too unwavering i'll just mention that to them. Than they typically act more understanding.

patrickmoler You should really apologize to Mr. Nail, because you just hit him in the head pretty hard. Also, put the rest of my family in that category, save for my father, who is a democrat. Yeah, Typical behavior. They want to help so long as it's not inconvenient and it gives them power over yo...

Yeah so whether you're religious or atheistic, if you think the people who are different from you are less than it's likely to be a relationship issue if you date people who don't agree with you "Less than"....? Less than intelligent? I should point out, that it is not my belief that people that ar...

Depends. It's not about the religious beliefs, it's about how both of you choose to deal with them and whether you judge others who don't share your beliefs, on the basis of your beliefs. This. It's a deal-breaker for me, but I'm more judgemental about it than others. I believe it reflects a person...

I'm sure most of the member here have at least felt like an outcast at one point. i've accepted being something of an outsider and having said perspective. Which many have found valuable at times. Over time you'll meet people that'll accept you warts and all. Those who won't aren't worth your time.

So, i'm very much non-religuos, and sometimes this can be a big factor in my dating life. I've been described as a chruch boy who doesn't like church...and that's fairly accurate. Now my question is whether or not differing religuos views are a complete deal breaker in relationships. There's this cu...

Those application quizes are such BS. the questions are so narrowly defined it's impossible to give an accurate answer. My only suggestion is avoid absolutes. With many of those tests that is the most important thing. Because any absolute answered Agree is a blatant lie.

I have a strong need to interact with people. Well, people I like, rather. Yeah prett my much the same. I enjoy the company of nice and intelligent people. I've never been one to simply hang out because "it's better than being alone.". I do enjoy social interaction when it's present though. I just ...
