That sounds like an amazing idea and if I was more comfortable with my other languages I would happily sign on. I might have to come back later after I brush up. I think things like this would be huge boon to the autistic community to show some of our strengths especially with the recent upsurge in... |

I recently heard about an all autistic IT company - called auticon(.co.uk) Might be worth checking them out for ideas (for example employees have mentors to help them cope with any day to day problems so they can focus on what they are good at). Plus looks like they have a lot of European business ... |

Hey everyone! It has been a while since I have posted here, because since the beginning of the year I have been trying to launch an autism startup in The Hague, in the Netherlands, while working full-time as a freelance translator - it has been insane! I've made a rambling YouTube video about it tha... |

Hehe! This talk is fab! I saw so much of myself in this. Dating in absolutely horrible. I tried all the tinder and POF etc when all my friends were excited about their dates I was dreading them. Like you, I was always 'too intelligent ' 'too quirky' Totally gave it all up and by accident found a gu... |

You're talk was wonderful! I related to the video so much, I've never understood why I was expected to feel nurturing toward everything under the sun. :D :D :D I love this so much - and honestly, I fully agree! I've also started teaching myself to code in the hopes of finding people who would be su... |

I absolutely loved your talk. It prompted me to make my second post! Am so glad to hear that, and thank YOU for sharing your experiences because it also helps *me* to feel like "OMG, so I wasn't just making stuff up - people *do* actually relate to what I am going through!" And I feel you... |

Thank you all for your lovely comments - I was quite worried that I might have made life challenging by saying things in a way that was specific to me, but if I was able to help at all, I'm thrilled. Especially since I know many of you are also dependent on virtual technology for your support system... |

I think relationships work because the people in them choose to make them work together - regardless of being on the AS or not. I would liken that reasoning to saying "Type II diabetics shouldn't date other Type II diabetics because they need someone to help them with what they struggle with". |
