Two planets meet. The first asks: "So, how are you?"
The second answers: "Well, I'm sick, I've got Homo Sapiens."
The first replies: "Oh, I know that one. No worries, it'll pass."

I have heard alcohol described as a "social lubricant", and it seems for good reasons. Unfortunately for me, when genes were handed out I got the ones for substance abuse, so I don't drink. Yeah, it worked well for a while for me, talking to others suddenly seemed so easy and I made a few good frie...

Yeah. Terrible cramps. mood swings, worse anger management, much more irritable. However higher sensitivity isn't bad only, being intimate with my partner is on different level then. And yes, it isn't AS speciality, most women feel that way during their period, but since it's common for AS to be def...

Ever wonder if you'll find someone? I've often been contemplating if it's even statistically possible. There must be mutual attraction and sexual compatibility. I'd prefer someone at least as intelligent as me (from my personal experience, only a few men can withstand more clever or educated partne...

Anyone Here Want Kids? Me, not really. I work with them and really like them, but not that much to let one destroy my body, occupy my personal space, consume my time and waste my resources :D Nor would I be able (or willing) to take care of it 24/7. Selfish? Yeah, but kind of responsible too, consid...

This is sad reality. Even doctors, therapists and teachers don't know much about ASD. When I finally (for a year I had been telling myself I would tell him the next visit) told my psychiatrist about my suspicion having AS, he said: "Well, you have a boyfriend, job and you went to college; it's not p...

""I don't think you have Asperger's!"

What irritates me the most is the arrogance in that. Becausy mostly it is like they saw Rain Man and read one article on Wikipedia and now they consider themselves authority on ASD? LOL.

Interesting.

I can't imagine a cure. I read a lot about "a cure to autism" but those presented as cured were merely mastering neurotypical behaviour.

Extinction of autism through terminated pregnancies is another thing.

I don't understand:

1) why they lie.

2) why they don't use logic at all.

3) how they start and manage relationships

Hi, I've been struggling with this for a while. I want to come-out at work. I've been working as a teaching assistent for 4 years. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. My family and few close friends know about my AS, but even them didn't accept it 100%, my mum still thinks I'm faking it sometimes. Sh...

I was confused, resignated, depressed, angry at myself and the world. Something was wrong and I couldn't find out what it was. After being diagnosed I felt such a huge relief and liberation. It was jigsaw falling into place. Like Kalika said it also "helped explain many of the issues I had growing u...
