So, how do you combat suicidal thoughts and tendencies? It might be a simple question to ask but a difficult one to answer.

If I didn't want to live I'd already do something about it, OP. I wasn't referrIng to suicide at all. By asking "would you rather not be born?" you have asked "would you rather not live?" to which I have answered that, if I'd rather not live then I would have already killed myself. Thank you for gi...

Everyone has things to deal with that they don't like in life. To the extent that I've felt I shouldn't have been born, it's a reaction to other people's attitudes towards and treatment of me, not my natural feeling about myself. And that also comes from people's reactions to my fibromyalgia, not j...

If you had the choice; would you chose not to be born at all, if the alternative was a life living with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and the other encompassing mental health issues (e.g. depression, anxiety, anger etc)?

Does anyone have any advice for how to prevent a special interest from developing? I'm in the situation where a new special interest is trying really really hard to emerge, and I know that if I let it do so before the end of the week there is potential for problems. All I need to do is prevent it f...

I would say, after being in other NT/AS relationship (myself the AS), that things are much more difficult with another AS. It's constant work to feel heard, loved, accepted, etc. Now that's not different from any other relationship though, others just have to work on other parts of it. I'm sure fee...

I wonder if anyone can give their experiences and knowledge on the topic of intimate relationships between Autistic Spectrum persons and normal people. I'd also appreciate anyone's opinion on whether or not it's actually more appropriate and less problematic to date and only have intimate realtions ...

Here is what I think was a simple and interesting question to answer, until I started to mull it over. If there were a cure for Autism, would you take it to be cured? I still don't know exactly what my answer is to be honest. What is everyone else's opinion on the subject?
