Hello I've been feeling extremely depressed lately. Medication isn't helping. As much as I want to stop comparing myself to others, I can't help it, especially since I'm in a very competitive school. Everyone I know has it all: good grades, great at everything else, lots of friends etc. And me? I'm ...

Hi. I'm in my last year of high school and I used to cut myself so I still have scars. Basically, most people don't notice anything. I was pulled out of school for 7 weeks and no one asked me anything when I got back. As for the scars, i basically learnt ways of twisting my arm or hiding it behind m...

I've been for one and I'll be missing this year's one.

There's just way too much fuss over it. And for someone with sensory issues like me, it is hell. Imagine going to a place with bright lights and too much noise. Argh. I just sat in a corner and ate stuff and left asap.

I'm officially the unfittest person in my PE class cos I can't run 800m in under 5 minutes (which makes no sense whatsoever). I can't balance or coordinate my legs so most activities don't work out well for me. I'm also ridiculously photosensitive. There's no way I can function in PE if I have to cl...

I do get overloaded very easily and I don't understand humans most of the time. (And everyone says I should stop calling them "humans") I tend to overcompensate for this by analysing everything that comes my way. It doesn't help that I'm a linguist cos that just makes it so much more complicated som...

I lose all ability to function when that happens. I'll sit in a corner, quiet and not processing anything. It doesn't help when I'm in the middle of something important.

Horrible lecture today. I wasn't in the usual lecture theatre because they picked a few people from everywhere in school to attend it. I sat pretty much alone and a little pissed because I really didn't want to have class so late in the day. It was also the first time I had to attend this lecture be...

Most of it is easy to understand. We're starting on pragmatics, which in theory isn't so bad. The problem comes in when you need to find a pragmatically (in)correct answer/statement/whatever and explain why. I've already talked to my tutor (FB chat is amazing) so now we're figuring out what to do wi...
