I never wanted to have kids, it just never occurred to me. I've got two now, and there are some days when it's very hard for me. Being able to spend weeks at a time staying up late, eating chocolate bars for every meal, and reading a never ending succession of books is, of necessity, a thing of the ... |

I see that most of the men here responded that they like nerdy girls. I expected that answer because most of the guys here are aspie and many of them are nerdy themselves. However, if you were to ask NT guys, particularly NT alpha guys, if they thought nerdy girls are attractive, you would probably... |

It still doesn't make you a doormat, they may mistakenly perceive you that way, but that's neither your fault nor your problem. Aspies are stereotyped as having lack of communications skills is that generalizing, there are many NTs that would say that I have got good communication skills. That's not... |

 Here we go, the US Marines are evil homosexuals. That's why they do what they do. Everyone shot by a US Marine was really just an innocent bystander, because US Marines just want to go around the world killing people. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. It would be lovely to be able to lay all of the atroci... |

My husband thinks so... either that, or I'm sneakier than I think.

Neither Aspies nor NTs have sole claim on being cold or malicious. All humans have the capacity to be incredibly kind and wonderful or incredibly cruel. We each make our choice, everyday and in every situation, whether we will be kind or unkind. I think this thread is unkind, generalizing an entire ... |

It is often said that woman don’t like men to be a doormat. But in the effort to be that person, I am being the doormat with knobs on. I don’t care who’s turn it is to wash up dishes or shop for groceries bla bla bla. Much of my patient nature often comes from not caring enough about minor inequali... |

Sometimes I really like shopping, other times I can't take it at all. There have been times when I've driven all the way to the store before I realized that I was not in the mood to deal. Then, I turn around and head home and try again the next day. I find it's much more fun when I have my daughters... |

I don't think it's a black and white question, though many would like it to be. Diability: A disadvantage or deficiency, especially a physical or mental impairment that interferes with or prevents normal achievement in a particular area. Hmm, that sounds a lot like AS to me. The problem with any con... |
