What are your symptoms of shutdown and how often do they occur?

I'm severely bipolar, and it sounds like one of my mixed episodes. Energy to spare with no drive or desire to do anything.

I was wondering what early experiences of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder were like. Did it feel like you were going crazy or did you not know?

Holy cow...I had experiences almost exactly like your two shadow experiences. The first shadow I ever saw was tall---about 6-7 feet tall. It walked from one end of the room to the other in a somewhat slow and awkward fashion. He was followed shortly after by a skipping girl with pigtails. The 4th s...

I have severe Bipolar Disorder, to the point where I can go up and down several times in one day. I was thinking back on things, and I remembered something from when I was a kid. I couldn't think of anywhere else to bring this up, so I came here. I don't know what I'm looking for, maybe just to talk...

Does anybody else listen to the same song/album over and over again?

And if you're doing so now, what is it? :)

Ugh. Twilight is AWFUL. I do write fanfiction about its characters, but I change a LOT about it. My favorite characters are Jasper and Caius, and its fun to manipulate the universe. I'm a writer, though, and I can do that with just about any cartoon/book/movie/whatever. And to top it off, the movies...

Steve Jablonsky's Transformers Score is amazing. I've been addicted to the song, "Arrival to Earth" since the first movie came out in 2007. Other things I'm into quite heavily are soundtracks, but I have very odd tastes in music, and I'll listen to just about anything that doesn't scream o...

I was diagnosed a few years ago with Ultradian Bipolar disorder (or very ultra cycling) shortly after I was diagnosed with Asperger's. I was wondering if anybody else has this, or something like it. My cycle is terrible, and I usually go through mania and depression several times a day. I just need ...

I was wondering what fantasy creature, such as Elves or Dwarves or any other magical or fantastical creatures, would be best to describe Aspies. I welcome any suggestions, no matter how obscure the creature is. :)

It sounds like we could be twins! :) I have always incorporated fictional characters into my imagination and tweaked them to suit the stories/world that I make up for them. I think about the characters constantly, so I tend to become very emotionally attached to them and I like to think of them as ...

I was wondering if anybody else does what I do. I take certain characters from one show and bend them to fit my own storyline that I make up. I believe it is a special interest of mine because I do it all the time and have several storylines from several shows, most of which are cartoons. It is kind...

Does anybody else have their own little world, and how does it work for you if you do? I just need to hear that I'm not the only one who makes up her own world and goes into it. I'm also attempting to write one of my little worlds down into a book. Thoughts?
