Ok. -- what is a typical first date like?--For me, something casual and simple. Just getting a coffee and having a conversation. I like conversation. Anything "over the top" makes me nervous. I'm really into what a person has to say and their philosophies. -- do you tell NT guys about ASD right away...

thanks everyone. And way to go Goldfish! It's not that I'm striving for normalcy as one person stated, it's just that I want to be able to function better in this world. Job wise, I am doing pretty good and am happy about it. I don't think one should label me as "normal" or even "aspergers" maybe I'...

I have taken some tests recently and my score has improved. I have worked on my social skills quite a bit. And I no longer classify as someone with asperger's. Has anybody else have this happen? So, I guess that means I'm "normal"? I don't know. I don't care for labels but I was surprised when I le...

Hello Jessicella. I used to be only painfully "Aspie" in my childhood, but then i forced myself to change. I did by myself, to myself, without help. I never trusted psychiatric or psychological paradigms. My aunt is a psychiatrist, but i hated it when she attempted to analyze me. Good thing she liv...

I'm afraid we can't just let you leave like that, Jessicella. It isn't that simple. One of us... one of us... I wasn't going to leave lol. But I do feel like I'm intruding sometimes on these forums because I'm the same as everyone else anymore. But I still like to read people's posts and ...

Which tests? Where did you find them? I've felt the way you feel right now. I didn't feel like I was exhausting myself either. What you should know is that the severity and visibility of Asperger's can fluctuate. It can change the way it presents itself at different moments in your life. It's a dev...

Congratulations! This means that your behavior can be indistinguishable from the behavior of "Neurotypicals" to a mental-health professional you can pass as one of "them". This also means that you can compete on equal footing with those same neurotypicals, but with the experiences you've gained fro...

It makes sense that asexuality and autism/aspergers go hand in hand. I think I'm starting feel I am asexual.

to wtfid, you haven't asked me 20 times to be your friend. I'm not looking for attention either. For goodness sakes, if you want to be friends then lets be friends. I don't want hard feelings between anyone.

quote] I don't think lack of experience is a negative, for women. Many guys would cherish someone who was not experienced, and a lot of men wouldn't like a girl who's been around too much, if you know what i mean. I can't speak for everyone, but it certainly wouldn't sit well with me. I'd prefer so...

Me neither. I'm not capable of love in a romantic way. Plus I'm a bit asexual which basically makes me uninterested. So friends is as good as it gets. But what is weird is that I'm positive that I react to pheromones. Most women, even attractive ones, don't interest me, but very very rarely I meet ...

you talking to me? I live in NC. Too bad. :) You'll be fine, though, I'm sure. If you're just developmentally behind, you'll get there eventually. Things like lack of experience and virginity are not held against girls to nearly the same extent as they are against guys. Age is. But if you look youn...

I know everyone keeps saying to me you will be thankful when you are old but as of now it makes it rather difficult in the dating world as well as my lack of "experience" I feel the same, and no, to be honest.... I am not thankful for that now at this age (30). You're not old lol. So, you're lackin...
