Your in luck. I'm a female aspie, and I work at TSA. Don't be so fooled by our uniforms. Underneath, everyone is a normal nice people, mostly, especially if you're flying out of Texas. No one is singling you out, if they do, its because they are just trying to do a good job. Don't get intimidated. I... |

I realize I'm rambling. But I think NT's fear that we aspies have been judged a priori in some way. Maybe we aspies are all incarnates of bad people? Or radical people? The unconscious. Perception on a soul level below standard awareness. |

It just struck me as FUNNY, to think that a person is repelled from an "injured" person, because he's afraid to be eaten next by the "predator". It just seems, so much of this behavior is unconscious! Why is it automatic that a person reject an "injured" person, in this case, someone with AS. On som... |

I hope this is okay. This is taken from another section, I think Social Skills section with the subject, " Why Do We Shun Those in Despair". This reply by AuntBlabby caught my eye. Read it then answer the following question: In a reply, AuntBlabby states, "here is an example from the animal world th... |

I'm reluctant to get a divorce because its the only thing I have, that grounds me. Its predictable. Otherwise, I don't know how I survive on my own. I just left my full time position for part time, because I wanted to get away from devastatingly hurtful coworker experiences. Overall, I think we aspi... |

Also, he says all I am good for is sex. Which was probably true in the beginning, because in the past, thats how I learned to get love. And I had no life skills. I could trick people into loving me this way, being promiscuous. I know that's sounds bad, and its gotten me into trouble, my desperate ne... |

I've never been in an abusive relationship. I dated a guy for a few months in which I later figured out could have lead to an abusive relationship because he was controlling and wouldn't allow the response "no". But he "claimed" to be another aspie so in the end, I outsmarted him socially so I was ... |

I'm a 33 year old aspie lady, and I should know by now. But it seems like my aspieness is getting WORSE with age. My aggression and cluelessness is increasing, and people keep their distance more. I work at TSA at the airport and am around many people throughout the day, its a miracle I'm able to ke... |

Apparently, I get addicted to coworkers. Since my job stresses me out so much, any job I ever had stresses me out, I have to think about it all and analyze everything when I am home. Otherwise, I wouldn't be prepared for the daily onslaught! I find certain people I like to work with, and become addi... |

Hi - oh, dear, Well, I hope I can add a few words of comfort if nothing else - it will be difficult for a while. I think if you just carry on as best you can - people do eventually forget. I agree I wouldn't try to talk or explain anything to him, he will look extreme if he keeps this up - people f... |

If a casual friend blurted out that they have been obsessed with me and in love with me, you can bet that I'd react in about the same way. Why? I thought telling him I was obsessed with him would open up some kind of discussion. But I can see now that that is self centered, because the topic would ... |

It could be that the guy was already extremely paranoid to begin with, so it might not just be what you said that caused him to react that way. I'm sure if it had been someone else other than him, they might have responded with "Okay, that is a bit weird..." and probably wouldn't have tried so hard... |
