There are a lot of subtleties under a lot of communication, yet passive aggression is also common. Other people's passive aggression should not be your responsibility, and a lot of the hostile subtext (which by your own admission you analytically search for) is included for the sole purpose of maki...

I don't think there is any way to "fix" it. self realization can be perhaps the closest thing to a fix...and forcing yourself to let it go. It's a good point, but I do realize I dwell. I hate it about myself. It's that letting things go part that's much much harder to do than say. Perhaps it is jus...

Do you dwell? I do. On everything, but specifically my communications with people (friends, coworkers, my boss, etc...) I am constantly replaying conversations in my mind, twisting them to figure out every single interpretation. And, when I find a way that what I said could be interpreted wrongly, I...

Also, emberassing at work (bit of an old story): I had just spoken with my wife and signed off by saying "I love you, goodbye" before going on a call with a female co-worker. When I finished my call with her, without thinking, I also said "I love you, goodbye". Fortunately, she and I are pret...

Why can't people just shake their heads, have a chuckle, and leave us alone? I ask this with no undertones or hidden meanings: Is this REALLY what you would want? What if you had been hurt? I know it was emberassing, but isn't a show of concern a good thing? I find myself wrestling with this issue ...

Has anyone seen the trailers for his new movie, 'The Pick of Destiny'? The trailer says, at one point "Jack Black is comedic genius!". During which time we witness Jack Black, well, landing on his groin on a branch and basically grimacing in pain. How is that comedic genius? Even if you think it's f...

I hope this doesn't come accross as insulting. I don't know you at all, so this isn't specifically targeted at you, but in general: 1) Be clean. Shower regularly, wash your hair, trim your beard (if you have one), wear deoderant 2) Wear clean clothes. Fashionable is not nearly as important as clean....

It is MUCH easier to say this than to actually do it, but I can not encourage you enough to wait untill you find someone who loves you for exactly who you are to make a lifelong committment. You can't pretend anything forever, and if you change from who you are just to please a girl or guy, you will...
