The conversations in my head never stop. I'm either reworking how an earlier conversation should have happened, what I should have said, etc.. Or like you said I am practicing what I'm going to say. Except I swear it never comes out like I practice, but does that stop me from doing it every time? No... |

Ok. My main sensory overload is sound, so first I want to tell you I understand the frustration of trying to get sleep. So now what I have done to cope with the sounds. Because I live a "normal" life with a husband and kids. I also work full time. So here we go. I first started narrowing down the ex... |

Bill, You beat me to it. I was going to also say, "Have you ever heard of ear plugs?" I use them almost every night during the summer because the outside noises are too loud. Works wonders I sleep great. Took a bit to get used to the plugs in my ears, but I prevailed. Determination can solve a lot. |

I'm an aspie female, and i gotta agree NT women are notoriously hard to become friends with. For me in particular they are just so catty, and don't talk about real things all that often. Now I do have 1 female NT friend that I would consider my best friend. But even then I didn't hang out with her l... |

I'm an aspergirl married to an NT with 2 daughters. We have a good and strong relationship. it took some time to get it all settled but it was worth it. We have been married for 10 years and I just found out a couple weeks ago I'm an aspie. So its been a revelation for us. i can expand more if you w... |

I have bad itchy scalp, I have found that organic tea tree shampoo and conditioner used in rotation with organic peppermint shampoo and conditioner works wonders for me. I hardly itch anymore. When I do I know I need to wash my hair. I have long thick hair, FYI. |

I've gotta say. For being a forum that is soppose to be about openess and not be judgemental it is sorely lacking that. All I mentioned was the forwarning of a hurricane, that people should head those warnings and go somewhere safe. Instead of staying where they know that bad things can happen and e... |

You sound like me. I got so upset one day about something my husband said to me at our daughter's soccer game. I went home and googled, "Everyone says my tone of voice is..." AS came up in every search. I was shocked at first, it has been about 5 days now. After non-stop reading everything I can rea... |

I would like to visit Australia one day. You guys have the coolest accents, well I think the Irish might beat you, but you come in a close 2nd. I live in Maryland, USA. It is on the east coast. Near Washington, DC. I work full time and that is where most of the people think I'm rude. I'm really just... |

I love StarGate SG-1. I have every episode. I like Richard Dean Anderson, I have all the MacGyver's also. Also all the episodes of Star Trek TNG. I bet the swiss roll was awesome. My favorite thing to make is cookies. My specialty is Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal raisin. Now you might say, well anyone ... |

Hi, First I must ask how to make that white section come up with the other persons comments. Then I must say, why is everyone from Australia that I seem to talk to here. Makes for lag in comments. I'm sleeping while you are awake, you sleeping while I'm awake. :D Anyway I would love to talk about Ch... |

Hi. Welcome to WP. I am new here as well. I'm a 35 aspie? Female. I haven't been formally diagnosed. But I'm working on it. :D I also like sci-fi and baking. But also reading. What r your favorite sci fi shows? Sometimes I wish I came across as shy, but I think it's more standoffish and rude. But he... |

I am new here and saw this thread. I thought is was really interesting because even after I posted a few things here (on other threads) I noticed my posts are usually read wrong. And people with posts not so nice things in response to my posts. I thought it would be different here. So I'll try this ... |

ruveyn - I never said I didn't donate, I give to the red cross and donate lots of clothes to goodwill and the salvation army. I just said that people need to be aware of there surroundings. If I live in a flood plain I shouldn't be surprised if I flood, and I should have enough flood insurance. I've... |

When it comes to mother nature causing problems here is my thought. Those people lived in a flood zone, if they didn't there wouldn't have been a levy built around them. They had a week advanced knowledge that a major storm which is producing lots of rain is headed your way. I would think, that woul... |
