In all honesty, I don't think you would be a good fit for most jobs in the under 30k crowd, they are all stressful. A courtesy clerk is no walk in the park I understand, since I was one, and then I quit after I realize they weren't moving me up. I went to work at another grocery store as produce cle...

Thanks for that advice. I wouldn't recommend lying, either, and I would never done it a few years ago because I would had been a nervous wreck... but really no one hires people as servers without experience. I applied at hundreds of places in the past year. I gave up hope. There's that phrase, "Insa...

No one gives a crap about you, your success, or your college papers.

The only person who you can rely on is yourself, so you're only hurting yourself in the end.

He wasn't joking, but I think he meant no harm. Actually depends, none of my minimum wage jobs ever move me up so far, and I am realizing that where you work at has a big role in it. I ask one of the guys at the toy store if people move up, and he hasn't seen it so far, and he worked there for 2 yea...

I was recently hired at this toy store, but I felt like it was just so lame that it was a joke. I have 5 years of retail experience working at 40 hours a week on average so I want a job that at least gives me 30 hrs. It was alright that I was being hired at minimum wage, but they only put me at 10 h...

it's the only way i can get this college thing done if i know that in 1 yr i will have some sort of a career going. Ok, but if you're not really interested in the schoolwork, are you sure you'll be interested in performing the job duties? but minimum wage... $7.50.... who can survive off that??? De...

Having your life revolve around school is a pretty good way to succeed. Be sure to minimize anything that gets in the way (ie; mobile devices) and be very protective of your 8hrs of sleep per night. 30 minutes of cardio at least every other day will go a long way towards keeping your head in the ga...

It helps if you care greatly about what you are studying. You need to decide on something you are strongly interested in. Your post sort of makes it sound like you are just doing it for the money. Or, just have an iron will. yes. It's about the money, but I have no passion for anything regarding co...

I just can't stand minimum wage..... nor will I feel good as a human being without a college degree. I decided I'm going to go back to college (not that I ever left it...), change schools, and become a register nurse. The issue is, I feel like an epic failure already when it comes to academics, sinc...

How are you trying to diet? Water fasting, if I ever attempt it. Yesterday was day 1, and I am starting to feel a lot better. I went to get a haircut to improve myself, and went to a job interview finally (to get this stir crazy feeling out) I done it in the past with some moderate success, and it'...

I'm mentally a mess. I'm having mental breakdowns almost daily for the past week. I'm always starting over a diet *in my head*, and I am beginning to sound like I'm insane to myself. I am frazzled. I can't commit to anything. I just can't concentrate anymore. I can't remember things well anymore. I ...

This is exactly why I decided to go into the adult industry, exotic dancing so far, because it doesn't feel like work. I plan on moving to California to do film after a few procedures this year... The clients treat me like royalty, usually, and if they don't ahem there's bodyguards to take them out....

I have a family member who owes me more than 3k, I lost my bracelet yesterday in the basement (which has a ton of stuff, so it could be anywhere in there, but I know its in the basement without a doubt) ... I am moving in Jan so I don't want to lose it since its worth 1 k. It's all financial worries...

I work hard for a yr, live with a boyfriend who paid the rent, and then I decided I was too young to commit to it all. I save up to 10k. So I live with my family (sitting on my savings; no rent), i buy food occasionally now.
