Well, as regards my experiences in the city, I've been dealing with a very interesting group of kids. A lot of people (including me) have a tendancy to misread their facial expressions, which can range anywhere from always smiling to always scowling with a look of impending doom. It took me awhile t...

Welcome back to WP. Have you attempted to find groups relating to your interests? Are there any adult autism social groups in your area? Im also an undergrad but can have access to many social aspie groups in my area. I've been trying to find groups that share my interests. Its incredibly uncomfort...

I wanted to offer something more practical to everyone, here just something to think about. It could certainly be fear, but its also that people, including myself, avoid situations that make them uncomfortable. I myself have been known to do that. I've avoided people I thought were weirder then me b...

I've been on the forum before, but I haven't been here in maybe a year or 2 so I feel a reintroduction is in order... I just finished my unergrad studies, and then I did an Americorps term of service in a city I'm not going to name, teaching some of the Abbot district (that is urban-youth) students ...

In my experience, its more important to have quality relationships (for however long they last) then It is to worry about keeping them. Ive had some of the best experience with some of the greatest people I have ever met. Some times the encounter only lasts for a matter of hours, sometimes a few ye...

Dude, I know this kind of s**t sucks, and I think I was having similar events happen to me when I was your age.

Its painful, and it sucks, but it WILL get less painful the more you learn to deal with it.

I feel for you.

Yes, and if you are such a person, hopefully your words of wisdom will get my insomniac since kindergarten butt to sleep. Basically, I was so angry tonight, I was almost ready to act out (and while I may appear weak, I can at least throw inaminate objects even if I would be on the ground in a manner...

Geeeze, guys. Err, facebook doesn't have to be that bad. I mean, I wondering right now why my friend's ex-boyfriend I met a couple days ago hasn't accepted my friend request, in spite of how polite we were being to eachother. It doesn't really matter... Folks have their reasons for why they do the t...

Ah-hem. Sorry, I'm probably assuming a lot of things. I'm also not looking at my punctuation, at all. All right... basically, I was in a support group for folks with PDD-NOS and Asperger's. Has anyone had any sort of experience with these sorts of groups? I am aware that they exist, although they us...

Ok, I got a little excited there, cause I was on this forum a long time ago. Anyway, basically, I'm not looking for advice or anything of that matter. There was a co-ed Asperger's support group on my campus. As of now, most of the support and socializing groups I have been to were... sub-par, to say...

I think you're really a goth when you stop claiming to be a goth even though you're obviously dressed like one, and when people aks you if you're a goth you say, "No f*****g way man! I'm just my dark, depressing, morbid self!" But honestly, all those clothes, music, World of Darkness role-playing ga...

Hehe, I've seen this before, not only that but I saw it in real life. (where I personally only consider dating as being real, hope that doesn't make me an as*hole). I think the dude had HFA, he was 27, his girlfriends were both 20 and 18 and were also in a relationship with eachother. Amazing, eh? I...

I believe you hit things right on the money. And yes, I have a whole lot of crap I need to take care of with school and whatnot, girls are attracted to at my age, to sports heroes and musicians. I've had a tiny romantic experience I can brag about, that's all I need. Yes, plenty of people are lookin...

Don't read into things THAT much. :) "I think the reason people ask "a/s/l?" is to make sure that your "l" isn't "ar" or "wv"." I don't understand. What is this? A/S/L is shorthand for age/sex/location on instant messaging. AR and WV stand for Arkansas and West Virginia, respectively. In popular cul...

I've known people who are nice, but only on surface. Some people claim that they will help you, but then don't follow through. Keeping one's word is what separates the pretenders from those who truly wish good on their fellow man.

Well, I'm not gay or anything, but most of the guys here seem handsome enough, and I'm amazed you have such a hard time meeting women (Girls are only attracted to power and prestige, this is reality) Think I'll chill on posting a pic before I get to know people. Oh yes, girls you're all cute too :)
