No, AS is so intertwined with my personality, so if I take it away there won't really be any personality. So no, I wouldn't want that. |

When Temple Grandin talks about those who think in words, verbal logic, she says that those who are in this area have poor drawing skills. I believe that because of what I read about people with Aspergers and Autism doing well with words but not with the IQ block test. I have Aspergers and I have su... |

I don't have this problem actually. I don't even have trouble with facial expressions, I'm actually very animated and I can make silly voices... but that might be an ADHD trait rather than Aspergers. But sometimes I do have a little bit of vocal fry |

I have German relatives...so Christmas has ALWAYS been a big deal.. and also a part of my life. I know that a lot of people with Autism have difficulty with sensory problems associated with Christmas like the hussle and bussle of things... and I don't like that stuff either... nor the commercialism ... |

Okay I've been diagnosed with Aspergers. Is that high functioning Autism? Or is high functioning Autism just the highest end on Autism BEFORE Aspergers? Like if someone tells me they have high functioning Autism...does that mean that he/she has Autism but is high functioning? Or is High Functioning ... |

Mine did too...mostly with particular things, but I have a hard time identifying which sounds and noises are annoying and which are not. I've grown suuuuper annoyed by girl's voices...like pop star singer style voices. And also I've grown a little bit annoyed by my younger sister's voice. I don't kn... |

OMG, when I read your post it sounds exactly word for word what I am saying and thinking about myself. I have been learning a lot about myself since being diagnosed with Aspergers, and I've also been feeling more free to do self Stimming. I started rocking back and forth when I was 12 years old, wit... |

First of all, I know that the categorizing of Autism and Apergers is changing pretty soon, and it's making Aspergers a little more of a separate diagnosis than Autism, but it's still on the spectrum. That being said, I'm an artist and I want to create a page or blog portfolio for my artwork. I speak... |

Yes!! A ton! But with specific things
The wiping sound that jeans make when the pant legs rub against each other when I walk
I don't like scratching anything, except my skin or hair...or a dog, I don't like the feeling my nails have when they scratch things |

Caffeine has no effect on me, unless I drink caffeine and not enough water, then I get dehydrated and that causes palpitations. But Espresso is awful. It makes me sooo anxious, nervous, shaky, and my heart beats so fast I do drink coffee once in a while like a social drink, but not very often at all... |

I try to come up with small talk topics ahead of time and over time I build up a bunch of small talk topics which are different for each individual and each time of year. Breaking the ice always helps me. Like if I walk into work I'll be like "Geez! It's freezing out there!" and the small talk then ... |

I'm the same way, I have only meltdowns a few times a year or so, and I do enjoy being with people and I always considered myself a "people-person" I can be good with people but I make a ton of mistakes I talk too much to people rather than with people I interrupt a lot (more of ADHD) I either give ... |

I've never grown tired of living, because I'm never bored, I'm really self-secure with a good and healthy self-esteem. I'm also preoccupied with my job and my studies...so I don't even think to myself "You know...I'm tired of living" because to me living is just well...living. I don't really get tir... |

You can do anything you want! If you are passionate about computers and are good at working with them, by all means go for it! People with Aspergers can choose any career they want just like a neurotypical can, we just have more drive and passion for specific things or whatever we do. :) But of cour... |
