I myself was bullied in school because I was hard of hearing, and they knew that....I was only seen as different because of that. I have ...

What I'm merely saying in that I see these different traits among the general population, not all the things I listed above for one person. Many NT's do have a lot of aspie traits, but not have the disorder. I'm annoyed at all the contradicting information about AS that is out there, and where is t...

Do you find these tests as a whole to have been accurate? I know they aren't meant to be a professional diagnoses, but how well did they work out for you. Anyone out there score NT on everything, but still think you have ASD?

Just curious!

The reason those are symptoms of a possible ASD is because of how many of those that one person has all at once. They go by not only the symptoms, but also by how often a person suffors from each, and whether or not it's been noted in other cases, especially with autism. That's how they diagnose pe...

I'm really pissed off that so many vague and random things are classified as being traits of ASD. For example: Who doesn't have an obsession about something. Most people I know do. There are many reasons to be obsessed by something or someone. Imitating others on how to behave. Isn't that how everyo...

Thanks guys! I definitely need to talk to a psychologist about my current issues. In the back of my mind I know I probably don't have it, but I always have excessive doubt because my brother fits the AS description so well. I suppose most of my problems stim from my hearing impairment since the age ...

I was in a bit of the same boat, having another condition (PTSD) that I'd used to explain my AS traits. What really made me realize I'm autistic as well as having PTSD is that I started noticing all the traits I had that couldn't be explained by PTSD. Intense interests, odd mannerisms, that sort of...

I'm not female, but you may want to look at some of your diagnosed conditions such as OCD, hearing issues and hypochondria to explain at least some of your behavior. You can also get a professional assessment but as a 24 yr old what benefit would it provide to get diagnosed with AS? I know that at ...

Hey Guys! I had a friend post my personal story on my account a few months back, and now I'm taking over trying to figure out if I should be tested for AS. I'm a 24 year old woman, and I've been concerned that I have AS because I'm almost positive my older brother has it. I know it can run in famili...

I never imitated that much...just sometimes like everyone else growing up. I know plenty of people who listen to the same song on a loop. My main concern is the obsessions I get....and now that I think about it, I didn't really have true obsession till I was in my teens, and maybe it was because I w...

Hello there! Well I haven't been on here in several months, but I curious about the nature of ASD. I'm neurotypical, I think, but I have noticed myself over indulging on different topics of interests. Also ever since I was little I would get these attachments to certain people, usually another girl ...

I dont think she has aspergers. It just sounds like she has OCD, social anxiety issues. Though her obsessions seem pretty relate-able.

If you don't mind me asking, what is it about her obsessions that is relate-able? Everyone is obsessed about something.
