I moved here to get my Master's in Library Science. I've only been here a little while, and it's not as overwhelming as I thought it would be. Does anyone have any resource referrals? I can't really find anything that is specifically for my needs.

That sounds like a difficult situation. When people disrespect my need for personal space, I try to calmly say that I need to be not touched right now, but I don't think that will help in your situation. Sorry. :/

I never really showed emotion as a child or teenager. I did go to therapy for a while as an adult and that helped me realise that it was okay to verbalize them. I usually get afraid when I am in a new environment. It's like the fear of being gay-bashed and the anxiety of trying to blend make a perfect storm. Then I internally freak out and have to go home.
