Smoking in bars is even banned here in Austin, save for a few renagade places that simply pay their fines over and over, and outdoor beer gardens. If it bothers you that much, either....

a) move somewhere else
b) help change the laws

This first thread is brief, but it will most likely be enough. Have you ever felt that your obsessions/interest are taking over you? I'm afraid of spending all my time reading about a special field, and forgetting about other interesting (but not as interesting as my main obsession), and useful kno...

At her age its really not a good idea to slap a label on her. She may or may not be autistic. Some NT's stim on occasion when they are put under extreme stress. It's nothing to crack up over. Increasing a childs schoolwork and taking her to speech therapy at age 4.5 seems a bit much. Don't press so...

This is the sort of strange mob mentality behavior I'm referring to.....I don't care what your "creds" are because yes, I do legitimately believe there is something wrong with you if you justify treating another person like this. Look statschica, no one is persecuting you, heck I even apologized fo...

Also keep a small video camera charged up and at the ready, so you can actually SHOW the doctors the things that you are noticing that may not be present when they see your daughter, ours used to be a bit of "singing frog" as well (now, not so much, it's kind of clear), and this removed that variabl...

Cereal is a whole nother issue, as you can find pretty good GFCF cereals, but soy milk ain't for everybody, and it's certainly not for me. If you can easily switch, more power to you.

I'd recommend almond milk, tastes lovely with cereal!

Tried it, and like soy milk, I found it too watery.

This really did seem more like an infomercial for Autism Speaks than really helpful, or even INFORMATIVE!! ! As a filmmaker, I do understand the ease at which ASD's can be sensationalized, and why this is the face some people are trying to put on it, but there has got to be more balance, as the MAJO...

My three year old daughter watches her favorite DVD's & shows over and over again, and her quotes from these shows make up the majority of her conversation. Just recently our three and a half year daughter, diagnosed with AS, has started to have the "meltdowns" in public places, whereas before it always seemed more contained to at home, and even more specific, to when it was just me taking care of her, like when my wife was at work. My wife for the long...
