Snobbery? LMFAO. Don't be so sanctimonious. In actuality, it's just that you are in the minority of people, perhaps due to differing interests, perhaps due to being on a different ( although I hesitate to say "higher") level of intellect, and you are just going to need to put in a little e...

I have been reading articles talking about how machines and AI are starting to take over many of the jobs that Aspies would normally do well in. If that's true, what that means to me is that social skills and people skills will become even more coveted in jobs as machines start to take more and more...

If anything, I'm surprised more people here are not more upset and angry with the way they are being treated. I find too much self-loathing on here at times. It seems as though the insults and disappointments of the world have broken them down to the point where they cannot see any positives in the...

I like your post, OP. I am both an aspie and an extreme introvert (double whammy if you live in the Anglosphere, it seems.) Even without my Asperger's, I would still be very introverted, which leaves me feeling like I don't belong (although I felt much more comfortable socially when I was living in ...

I prefer an illuminated infinity symbol. Barring that, the light bulb idea works. Forget puzzle pieces.

There are many theories behind the origin of Autism. Simon Baron-Cohen seems to think that the rise of autism may be due to mating preferences, having two "systemizer" parents mate with one another to produce "hyper-systemizer" children. Related to this, I've also heard that the explosion of Autism ...

I had neither the time nor the will to sift through 14 full pages, so I apologize if this has been shared already. This man is a science officer at Autism Speaks. I fully agree with what he says. I know Autism Speaks was bad years ago, but if this man's attitude is an example of what the organizatio...

If by "normal" you mean sensing multi dimensional objects and having the feeling like you're being sucked into an alternate universe or reality, then yeah, "normal" it is!

You don't know that for sure. I'd hazard a guess that the lack of empathy, insight and marked egocentricity of those with AS would lead to them actually being worst in regards to understanding others, no matter if they have the same disorder or not. I'd also say that any meetup of people with an AS...

Glad to see this thread. Happy to know that there are Aspies who are not ashamed or guilty about who they are. After witnessing all the self loathing that goes on here, this is a refreshing change. Of course, I am perfectly happy with who I am, and I would not want to change if a cure was to be foun...

Sarcasm is the lowest form of humor. I "get" it, but it just isn't funny.

I'm with Zero Punctuation on this one. Resident Evil 4 is "The One Which Doesn't Suck", and that's because it tries to avoid the silly overarching storyline. It's no coincidence that the worst part of Resident Evil 4 is when Krauser and Ada show up and start referring to the nonsense of the other g...

Ryu from Street Fighter has always been suspect in my eyes. Think about it: - Has an obsessive narrow interest in fighting - Hardly talks/ has poor social skills- watch the SF Anime movies - has few friends (except Ken), spends most of his time alone - Poor hygiene- unkempt hair, wears the same tatt...
