It's easier than it looks, trust me. Your fingers are going to blister, throb, and on rare occasion, bleed, but if you put in a solid hour of practice every day, you'll be learning songs in no time. :D

One guy I kind of like is Scott Walker, but his music is more 'Experimental Rock'. His 2006 album 'The Drift' is particularly good.

Learning theory is universal for virtually all instruments. It isn't necessary for guitar, but it does help. As far as first guitars, I would go to somewhere like FYE or Hastings and get one of the $200 starter kits that comes with a guitar, strings, a small amp, amp cord, and a basic chord book. Th...

The song "Love, Reign O'er Me" does that for me. It's a bit complex musically, but Roger Daltrey's wailing is what gives me the chills.

Don't be afraid to sell yourself to your potential employer. Tell them about positive experiences from your past jobs, and they enjoy hearing stories of problem solving and leadership of which you played a major role. I hope this helps!! !
