It's a reference to Deanna Troy. As I mentioned in my original post, I'm not discussing empathy in terms of special powers, I'm just curious as to whether or not there is any evidence there is a neurological sense as you say. |

I've read that people on the Autism Spectrum, regardless of their apparent lack of emotion, can be empathic. Is this true? I can't help but feel that I, in some way, am empathic. Not to the point of considering myself superhuman by any means. Ps. I post this in this section of the forum because my e... |

I went to the jym first time in ages on Tuesday night, and my arms have not stopped aching ever since. I spoke to my personal tutour at college (who is a PE teacher) and he said that I probably lifted too much and advised that I don't go back to the jym for a few days untill I stop aching and then ... |

I can understand you quite well. I have a few quite close friends and maybe a few people I know from work/school. My thought is to do whatever is natural. Don't force a relationship, I don't think it will end well. Also I think it's easy to think that you have feelings for a close friend when you a... |

Friendship, let alone intimate relationships, have never been my forte. The older I've gotten the fewer people I've tried keeping close. I've never dated or even been in a relationship. I have however made an attempt at dating....but things tend to blow up in my face as soon as I share my feelings. ... |

Forum is a place where i can be anonymous and be honest with eveyrone, no one knows who I'm but everyone can help me. In the real life, talking about my problems is not something i do. I keep everything for myself. I keep it all to myself as well, so maybe it's the sharing with others that gets to ... |

I'm trying to talk about my issues via the forum and I'm having a hard time actually getting about it. How are y'all capable of talking about your deep thoughts and feelings so candidly with others? To me it's a foreign thing (though I believe I wish to attempt it). |

It is possible that depression and/ or the other factors you mentioned are the causes of your difficulties with this course. Another possible reason is that you are not as interested in the topic as you thought you were. (I am having difficulty working on my interest, and I am starting to wonder if... |

Hey everyone! I'm not certain if I'm on the spectrum but after reading Thinking in Pictures, something tells me that I probably am. I've got a lot of questions about life that I feel would have been answered if I'd been diagnosed earlier in life. So I've decided to join this forum in an attempt to f... |

I'm quite the opposite. I'm an aspie male who prefers the company of other men. That doesn't mean I don't like talking to women, it's just that I have an easier time with men. It could be because I'm gay and am pretty man-hungry a lot. That's funny because I'm gay(ish?) and I'm the opposite o... |
