I find it very strange that Autism would be mentioned, if he wanted to describe cameron's stance as repetitious, just say repetitive, why would you say autistic, it makes no sense?
Does he go around describing repetition as autistic? |

I have some friends (not many), but they're all random people, some are like 30 odd years older than me, others are young but have neurological differences so are more on my social wavelength and don't do things like clubbing and don't have many friends themselves. So I see them sometimes, and I ch... |

You're not missing out on much in terms of clubbing. Don't ever mourn about that, not everyone is into that anyway. There are many types of people your age...not just people who like to go clubbing. You really need to ask yourself what you want out of life and out of other people right now. Then, y... |

Their is clearly nothing wrong with IQ, you have achievements that validate that, so why do you care what people on here think? They should know better since people with neurological differences are usually viewed as ret*d or 'stupid' even if they posses a normal or above normal intelligence. What i... |

I can understand that in cities its better to close off from everyone else as there are far too many people. However, I have noticed these exclusions in relatively small groups, with people I am familiar with. Similar to Kafke, I've also had people listen for a short while, then go back to their co... |

Nah, people are just rude and selfish-especially big cities. Even family? I've had this happen my entire life. Even from direct family. By now though, I've established the "priority" of my family. Dad > Mom > Little Sister > Little Brother > Older Bro > Me. And it's obvious when there's some celebr... |

I came across this one posting for an IM/IT Analyst, and look what it said: Competencies: Adaptability, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills / multitasking, Problem solving, Analytical skills. Now...look at the list of items in order. Notice how they've almost intentionally listed traits tha... |

And as I get older with each passing year the more insecure I feel about this. I find it very hard to approach people I don't know. I can make small talk; 'how are you'? 'fine' (even if not). 'how is your weekend'? But I find this empty and meaningless, unless the conversation develops into a intere... |

You're exactly right. I've been thinking about this very thing a lot lately, and it has occurred to me that all human (and animal) behavior is ultimately selfish, except for one thing: suicide. Yet we are consistently told in the West that this is especially selfish, even though it leaves resources... |

This is a very good presentation in the media of what AS is, I wish that we had this on UK television as their seems to be a lot of harmful and offensive assumptions-especially since the shootings last year.

I think that you need to get a grip and inform yourself on ASD, there are are for worse things to be born with!! If his ASD is mild then he can certainly lead a fruitful life but it is really up to you. Do you want your son to grow up feeling 'different' with the feeling that his mother would rather... |

Why do deaf people expect people to learn sign language? Why cater to wheel chair users etc. This isn't just about Aspies but other sufferers on the all levels on the Autism spectrum-especially those on the severe end who need life long support. You also don't know what other issues that they maybe ... |
