I have a few acquaintances through my wife that I may see a couple times a year, but other than that, no. I think I'd like to have a friend or two, so if I wanted to go to a game or just hang out with someone (besides wife) I could, but now I have no idea how/where to meet people. When I was younger...

I sometimes wish I could cry. I can't even remember how long its been since I cried. It really amazes me how us aspies can be so alike, yet different.

I recieved my official Aspie diagnosis today (39 yr old) and although I was told I most likely had it before going through all the testing, it really hit me seeing the diagnosis in writing. It's really odd. I knew In my heart I was an Aspie, I was told I was an Aspie, but now that its official, I'm ...

This is me.
I try to get along with everyone and just go with the flow on forums, but I do get tired of a subject that I've immersed myself in-including joining forums- and will just leave.

Soul rape is a pretty interesting description. When I accidentally make eye contact, I do feel violated. The blackness of the pupils remind me of a deep well where something dangerous lurks. Just resting and waiting. Eye contact also just makes my stomach twist and makes me feel like I want to vomit.

I joke all the time, but since I usually use obscure 80s/90s references, not too many people get it.

I didn't do well in school and its true, I didn't apply myself. I just did not like anything about it. I didn't have (and still don't) have any close friends. I couldn't concentrate on anything. Like I said in my intro thread, once I was able to drive in high school, I skipped school quite a bit and...

Bite nails.
Wiggle toes

I don't cry either. There have been times when I know I should be crying and my stomach will be all knotted up, but there are just no tears. Of course there are other times when I'm not even upset and everyone else around me is. My wife likes to remind me of the Seinfeld episode where the gang is at...

Hi everyone- Found this forum a few months ago while trying to learn more about Aspergers. I'm not sure if that's what I have or some other form of autism. I'm currently involved in a program at the local university to find out whats going on with me. I'm obviously able to get through life, but I wa...
