It does, I become jittery after a cup of coffee, although it's usually manageable. However, caffeine affects me the most when combined with sugar, it really overstimulates me.

I spent it with my mom because all my friends were celebrating it with their respective girlfriends, so I couldn't go with them. I don't like new year parties, I just get tired and drunk. Even if I go out to a big celebration, I just stick to my friends and drink. I usually stick to people I know on...

Rocking
Pacing (a LOT when I'm nervous)
I circle the rim of my thumb nail with my index finger
I play with a zipper if my shirt has one
I play with the straps of my backpack
I repeat certain words when I'm nervous (my latest one is the name of my pet parrot) in different rhythms

I don't know if this is a symptom, I hope someone might provide input, but my mom recently told me that she had to tie handles of cupboards in the kitchen because I would open them and would empty their contents and proceed to line them up orderly on the floor. Also, she said I couldn't stand being ...

I don't have psoriasis but I have atopic dermatitis on my back, under my chin, around the eyes, around the nose, sides of my head and ears. I've tried several prescription creams but they only help me for a short time. One dermatologist said it was allergy related, the other said it wasn't, I don't ...

Everything I do or consider doing I process in my brain for a long time. Even if simple decisions are in question, I spend a lot of time processing the available information, pros and cons, etc. It's interfering with my life, I can't seem to decide anything. You know what the problem is? People are ...

Yes, a lot of people think I'm stoned. Many people openly asked do I smoke anything. Especially the extroverted social butterflies, they are quite tactless and repeat that I look like a stoner every 30 minutes. I once managed to get brave enough to go to chatroulette (didn't really talk to anybody t...

Is this recent? Check the full side effects sheet of any medication you have taken lately. Even seemingly benign medications can cause extreme photosensitivity (making lights hurt the eyes.) No, it's not recent, it has always bothered, it's just that I don't have any energy left to tolerate it anym...

I feel exactly the same way.....except lights don't bother me, but sounds do instead, just as bad as you dislike lights. And it ain't just rare sounds that upset me, it's also normal household noises, like kettles boiling, the cat miawing, a TV murmuring, people chattering outside my room, and peop...

Most people do not get it at all , they love light and don't understand in the slightest anyone that can't deal with it. It just seems a natural thing to love the bright. Exactly, this is the biggest problem, even my own mother tells me I'm overreacting and that I should go out more. But even when ...

You need to stop worrying about what other people think. Only the real jerks will bother you once they realize you need it for medical reasons. It's really hard for me, when I walk outside I don't wear my sunglasses because I think I look ridiculous and I'm too embarrassed to wear them so I spend m...

Yeah but I worry that I'll look ridiculous. Plus, I have some cheap glasses for which I'm afraid they harm my eyesight, can't afford anything decent. I don't want to ask for a transfer because then I would need to get used to another two people and there's nowhere to escape from the sun in this buil...

When I read or study I need absolute silence. Any sound breaks my concentration. And sitting outside and reading seems utterly meaningless to me, why go out when you can comfortably read inside?

I live in a dorm room with two roommates. Being normal people as they are, they like keeping the room bright. Very bright. My eyes hurt, I can barely see anything on my laptop's screen and this whole light situation is driving me crazy. When I'm in light spaces, I literally lose the will do to anyth...

I don't know whether it's related to Asperger's but yeah, I get music related goosebumps on a daily basis. I particularly enjoy the sound of violins playing a song I adore. In particular, when I listen to orchestral renditions of Queen songs I get goosebumps and I feel like crying. Of course, it hap...
