However, a year or so later, I realised what I did was wrong and I started to please everyone around me just t... |

I did this to myself when I was younger, however I realised that this wasn't helping me to make friends. My current perception of myself is quite honest and realistic. I try and never lie about my weaknesses, however there are times when you can't be too direct about your problems (e.g. at a job int... |

On Friday I was interviewed for a job and was supposed to go Monday for training. Instead I was paralyzed by an intense panic attack and ended up not going. My dad was pissed and said I am not carrying my weight and said he's giving me three weeks to find a job or I have to leave. I cut the lawn, d... |

Nowdays, its less of a problem |

happens to me as well. My issue is more that I am not comfortable talking for an extended period of time and want to get things settled quickly.
Maybe try and go to toastmasters or do things that will improve your public speaking skills.
That's all I can really suggest |

But last week I was at the volunteer shop with this girl and one of the other young volunteers that work there, and we were sorting through different jewelry what just were donated. I picked up a bracelet from the pile and said, ''I like this bracelet.'' And the girl said, ''I made that.'' I said, ... |

I say start of by talking about common things. You mentioned that your enrolling in a course, so maybe you could ask them or help them with things like navigating around the school, course enrollment procedures, where to get certain items and so on. If these things work out well for you and your fri... |

OK, So I've had trouble making friends in the past (i.e. at school etc), but I've been trying at work recently and it just seems to me like no one I talk to is like me. I watch how well they click with each other while I get made to feel like the odd one out. They seem like nice people but I can't ... |

Have you considered secondary school mathematics teaching ? It's quite neurodiversity friendly, but you have to be prepared to deal with children who may be rebellious, rude and obnoxious A lot of companies also hire programmers to develop scientific software as well. I'd suggest in the meantime, se... |

It depends on how serious the stupid question is. If it is something like "what colour is my shirt?", you can use a joke or funny comment to laugh it off "e.g. im actually purple colour blind, so I didn't know it was purple" however if it's something like "what is your name?" you should sincerely ap... |
