Do any of you have this? I am wondering, is this common for Aspies? Does social anxiety come from Asperger's Syndrome, or is it a separate thing occuring for other reasons?

I'm married, yet I am obsessed with a girl at work, it's an infatuation. It's sad because my day's happiness of sadness depends upon the result of our social interaction. If she doesn't pay much attention to me I get really depressed all day, if she does I'm happy all day.

Yeah, I am too focused on how their eyes are judging me to notice and take notes from how they make contact. But I am pretty sure the reason they talk to me and look at someone else is because they feel uncomfortable with the way I look them in the eyes. I will simply have to learn the art of eye co...

So then this happens to you? Doesn't it annoy you? They look at the guy next to you while talking to you, that's annoying. But my looking people in the eye thing is recent, a few years recent. I practiced how to do it, so that I would appear more confident. But since I have aspergers, I am socially ...

Well to me I'm just looking them in the eye. Maybe it's too intense. I notice if I look away while they are talking to me and look back, they are looking at me for a second as though the only way they can look at me while talking to me is if I am not looking at them.

A lot of the time when I talk to someone, when they talk back they look at someone else instead of me. It's weird. Anyone else get this? Do you know why this happens?

Alpineglow, I have found that to show that anything bothers you show weakness, and most people exploit that weakness eventually and at some point. You probably already already know all of this, but the anger is of course still there. But the relief comes at least in the form that the general public ...

Skibum, the only issue is slight stuttering, well only slight and not really noticeable. I recommend it. I would much prefer this no matter what the cost is compared to the anger and mania I felt at the time. I don't believe I was bi-polar, I believe what I had was merely Manic Episodes, because it ...

I told my doctor about all of this and she prescribed me Depakote along with my Lamital, lowing the the Lamictal because the Depakote doubles the effect of the lamictal---anyway, it seems to have evened me out quite a bit. I feel more calm, but a bit more shy. I don't find myself getting angry thoug...

Have you ever experienced a weird vision like your eyes going up and down really fast but actually going up and down so bad you wobble for balance and find it hard to walk down stairs? This new Depakote is causing this effect.
