Yeah I struggle to find the right word pretty often. If I'm retelling a story or a joke, I'll always struggle to repeat it like I heard it and that can be frustrating.

I too struggle with spoken directions when it's more than like two sets of directions. I am a visual and hands on learner. I have both an Aspergers and NVLD diagnosis.

Yeah I get lost after just a couple spoken steps in a set of instructions. I need to write it down at that point.

Yes, I get them all the time. Not from whispers though. It's usually a certain type of voice that causes them. Most of the times it's a certain sound that causes them, but not always. Unfortunately when I get one when someone is talking, it's very hard to be actually listening to what they are saying.

I would say my inability to have relationships as well as me melting down over small things are the biggest issues my Aspergers causes me. Regarding relationships, I can't even start one. I fear rejection so I never attempt to ask a girl out.

There were several reports that seemed to confirm he had the diagnosis. Honestly, it doesn't bother me. There are evil people in the world, evil AS people and evil NT people. I'm not going to put my head in the sand and pretend that there are no evil AS people anymore than I will pretend all AS peo...

Does anyone else have trouble talking on the phone with background noise going on? With me if there is any noise going on in the background, I can't even hear the person I'm talking to on the phone. I just lose that ability altogether.

I just joined the forum, though I've been a reader for quite some time now.

My name is Kevin, I live in southwest Vermont. I'm a 22 year old aspie and was diagnosed around age 9 I think.

I look forward to getting to know many of you and sharing my experiences with you.
